I have an issue.. am i just being silly though?

Okay well i have always been slim and never self conscious about my weight.. until now. I have been under TONS of stress and eating SOO much!! I am now 102 lbs., which is normal to some people but i am used to weighing way less.
Last year i was around 80 lbs.

& I dont fit well in my NEW cloths like i did before school...


I cant seem to stop myself and i cant get myself to do the 500 some sit-ups a day ( not all at once of course! ) i had in my daily routine last year.


I am afraid i am going to get really over-weight.


Am i just being silly and cant except that am older?
I'm nervous..
 
Stress can cause you to overeat, or undereat.
What you're going through, is normal.
Don't freak out too much.
Try not to eat as much. Portion control.

You'll be fine.

First off, how old are you and how tall are you. If you are still young like 12-13 you are probably just growing and maturing. If you are older like in your late teens you are way way too underweight, unless you are 4 foot or something really tiny.

I commend you for doing 500 sit ups per day, but that may be a bit obsessive a work out.

Totally agree with the above posters. I went from like 90lbs to 110lbs from when I was 11 to 12. You're just growing. I commend you as well for having a work out like that, but I'll just add that in the case of crunches/sit ups- it's not how many you do, it's how you do them. But if you're doing them all really well, that's quite the workout.
 
I would do 20-40 the right way

Take a break

& repeat as much as i could.

It's natural.
102 is skinny, for pretty much any height.
Unless you're like four foot three, which I really, really, really doubt.

If you work out, you'll probably just gain more weight (muscle) so don't rely on your scale to tell you how you look. People obsess over the number on the scale, instead of looking in the mirror, measuring, and figuring out their BMI.
If you think that weight gain was from eating, cardio is probably better for actually shedding fat (you know, the stuff that's in EVERYONES body).
Cardio = dancing, walking, running, skipping, etc.

I do hip-hop and play volleyball(its off season though for VB)

I skip EVERY where i go.. walking is SOO overrated!! :D

I meant like jump rope, but I suppose walkingskipping works too xD

Probably from dancing and playing volleyball you've probably gained some muscle weight.
 
I'm 13, and I weigh 103. My mom says that's pretty normal for a 12-13 year old. So I wouldn't worry about it.
 
That is not fat. I would actaully recommend gaining wait. Now I am not saying this in a negative way, but if you think that is to heavy, and you are doing 500 sit- ups a day at the age of 12, you should see a nutritionist or a doctor or someone. This is not a good way of thinking especially at your age.

Well my issue is, im friends with the popular girls. Perfect cheerleader bodies, you all know the type probably. I am just.. so.. compared i guess. I stand out more. =/

Ok someone started a thread awhile ago having to do with popularity... you have no idea how much that word "popular" bugs me. I copied my little rant from that thread:

I absolutly hate that word. I don't even belive in the word popular. You are never liked by everyone, so what gives you the title of popular? Do you give it to yourself? Personally I can't stand the "popular" kids at school so to me they aren't "popular". I belive everyone is "popular" in their own group of friends. Having a lot of friends does not make you popular, obviously you're liked, but like I said, you're never liked by everyone. There are people who don't like me, and I don't like the "popular" people so why do they get to be doned the popular people? Why not me? I have lots of friends to. Do you see where I'm going?

Adding to fit this thread: There is no such thing as perfect. Also, I don't think there are any 12 year olds with "perfect cheerleader bodies" Most of you haven't even developed yet. If they are only friends with you becasue of your body, they are not your friends. And if you are worried about being compared to them, you need to think this over.

JMO Rant over.. for now.
 
You are not over weight, i am about to turn 14 and i weigh 109 i am only a few inches taller than you. You dont need to worry about this you are fine.

Honestly..don't compare yourself to so called "perfect" people.
And you aren't fat, I gained 8 lbs in freshman year because people thought I was anorexic..when I only weighed 110 at 5'4. I do look a lot more healthy now that I have a little more meat on my bones.
