I have a 16mm reel to reel film case with dumbo and heckle and jeckyl. I estimate that it was produced in the 1920's or 30's. I wonder if anyone is interested in pictures, of it and Im curoius on an appraisal. anyone with any information at all would be an extreme help.

I am going to move this to our Collectibles Board.

Dumbo was produced in 1941 and Heckle and Jeckel cartoons were both produced in the late 1940's to the late 60's.
16mm film was popularly used in the 50's and 60's distribution so you're probably looking at mid 20th century at least.

They produced 16mm shorts for personal public distribution in the 60's as well, so you may have one of those.

jedihunny was correct with the time frames. I would find it very curious that Disney would release a film with Heckle and Jeckle. Are you sure it isn't the black crows from the Dumbo movie?

I'm guessing that your item is in a cardboard box with nice artwork since you mention the crows? Probably color front with black and white art on the back?

Old films from Disney, or any other studio, have very little value to collectors. The main problem is that film stock does not age well, and usually when put into a projector, the results are small broken celluloid pieces.

Second, very few people have film projectors any more.

If the box is in good condition, with good graphics, and the reel contents are intact, you may find someone willing to part with $20, but I doubt it.
