I have a Virus

My computer at home has been running so slow so I scanned the computer for viruses. It turns out I have one that I don't know how to get rid of. How do you get rid of viruses without spending money? Please tell me there is a way to do it!

p.s. I am computer illiterate!

If the scan found one, it should be able to get rid of it. What are you using as an anti-virus program?

I am using the Norton Anti Virus. It found it but could not get rid of it for some reason. Thanks for the link
