I will be getting the Deluxe Dining Plan for our trip January 2009.

When I make my ADR's do some resteraunts require complete payment up front? Specifically Hoop de Doo and CRT? Do they also include the tax and grats in it?

I know these two places require 2 of the Dining credits each to dine there if I am not mistaken. If I have to pay for them up front with a credit card when reserving my ADRs, can I just keep it that way? I would feel easier knowing these are paid for and out of the way and we don't have to fool with counting up dining credits, transfering the credits and crediting the credit card.

Anyone??

Thank you.

I am not sure if it is paid up front but definitely there is a deposit required.

We were required to give a credit card # for the reservation but they did not "charge" the meals. The credit card # is in the instance that one might not show for an ADR and THEN they WOULD charge the credit card. As for keeping track of the dining credits... with each use, the # of used credits is deducted and your receipt will show the remaining credits available. The first year of the DDP, there were issues with keeping track but I haven't seen anything about problems with it now. Seems Disney worked out the kinks. One thing that I can offer is that the basic dining plan was PLENTY of food for us. In fact, each time that we have used it in the past, we have had left over snack credits that we hastily used up in the resort's gift shop before boarding the Express to the airport. You wouldn't want to pay for meals and then have leftover meal credits. There are no refunds - if you don't use the credits, you lose the credits. Hope this helps a little. Have a great visit!!!

i don't know if these are paid for, when they take the number, but i believe tip is included. I think another reason they take the card then, is if you cancel within like 2 days or don't show you get charged...
