I have a question on borrowing points

We currently have no points. In December (our use year) we get our 200 points for that year. Considering an April 2005 trip for 10 days which would take over 200 points. I understand I could book now using the 200 points but can I borrow the remaining points we need before December? Or do I have to wait until December to borrow from our next use year?

So in other words, can I book the whole thing now or can I only book 200 points worth and then have to wait until our use year of Dec to have access of the rest to borrow?

You should be able to make the entire reservation at once. The points needed are really the points you will have available for that time period- not what is currently available.

In this case, you will have 200 points available from the Dec04 Use Year and up to 200 more borrowed from the Dec05 Use Year (into the Dec04 UY)- for any reservations between Dec 1, 2004 and Nov 30, 2005.

This is a great example of the flexibility of DVC.
