I posted this thread- it gave me an error page.. so I tried posting it again and it said it was a duplicate thread within the past 5min! But it's NOT POSTED... the thread never posted.
*sigh* Disboards doesn't like me. LOL

So here goes with my question:
Just a quick question... if you are staying onsite- let's say at all star movies- and you are using DME... you turn in your luggage and you can do whatever you want until the shuttle time (typically 3hrs before flight).

What would happen, or would they be able to arrange this, if you already gave them your luggage and all that at your resort but then the last day you were doing things at say another resort. For instance the last day of our trip we are having breakfast at GF, 2 oldest are doing the pirate cruise and 2 girls are doing the tea party there. All of this ends at 2:30pm- our flight leaves 6:22pm so I imagine we'd have to be ready for shuttle at or around 3:22pm- is it possible to just be picked up by the shuttle at GF or do we really have to bookit and try to get BACK to movies in order to be shuttled/bused to MCO for our return flight?

anyone know?

I did something similar with my son on the regular Mears vans. We were sending him home during the week for school. He was only at WDW each weekend.

When we arrived at the airport on Friday night, I purchased him a roundtrip Mears ticket with All-Stars as the resort.

In actuality, they picked him up at Animal Kingdom Lodge on Monday (we were having a late breakfast), then dropped him off at Beach Club when he returned Thursday night (we were having a late dinner there).

He had no luggage except for his bookbag.

First question, are you on a participating airline where you can check your bags and get your boarding pass at the resort?? If so, then the next caveat would be in your situation, this would mean you would have NO carryons stored with luggage services at All-Stars, and you would have to drag any carryons to the Grand Floridian for the morning. So this would depend on how much "stuff" your children and you need for the plane flight, and if you were willing to drag it all to Grand Floridian for the morning.

If that is acceptable to you, then ask at the DME desk when you arrive and tell them you want picked up at Grand Floridian.

Answers: Yes... participating airline (AA) and our carryons won't be too hard to take with us. I'm basically chilling all day anyway.... breakfast then kids doing pirate cruise and tea party. I guess I'll be official carry on bag watcher for hours. LOL (most likely I'll be enjoying a couple of hours alone after 10 days at the parks with 3 kids by myself. LOL)

Okay so I'll talk to them at the desk about this. Thanks!

Things crossed in the mail.

Your post worked OK and only the confirmation message that your post worked OK ran into an error. All you needed was to click "refresh" to see for sure. The best thing to do is repost and let the error "duplicate thread" appear.

Even if you want to return home from a different resort, you need to make return reservations at your resort and get bus tickets (possibly at different times) as soon as possible to get seating on the best bus for your schedule.

I did refresh and my thread still wasn't there. Did you see another thread by me that is a duplicate of this one? Where is it? LOL

Okay, I'm following you all the way to the part whree you said possibly different times.
Possibly different times on bus tickets? huh?
Seating on the best bus for my schedule?
I thought that you had to leave 3hrs before and that's that... I didn't know you could schedule the best time, possibly at different times, etc. ???
