I have a question about waitlist forBCV

My family and I are going to Disney June 2 thru June 9 (sat - sat) and I have ressie at SSR. Our last trip we stayed at SSR and loved it there. For our trip in June we are also taking my DB and his family and really want them to have a great time. My DH informed me yesterday that he thinks they ( meaning him) might really enjoy staying at BCV so they could swim at SAB. There will be 5 kids age 8-2 so he does have a point. Anyway, I have heard it is really hard to get BCV ressies at the 7 mo. mark and I am actually a little past that. I was wondering if it would be worth the trouble to try and change my ressies to BCV. I don't want to go day by day b/c I want to make sure every night is at the same resort. If I waitlist for the week do I stand any chance at all? Thanks for anyone who can help me with this!

they can tell you if you have chance at a week long. or if day by day is your only hope.

You really aren't passed the 7 month mark for the whole trip, that would be November 10th. So, you can call then and waitlist for the whole trip if you want. Pixie Dust! Let us know how it goes!

We are on the wait-list for BW and BCV. We were told that we will not know until 30 days prior to our trip. I would definitely give it a try. Once you stay there you will realize why it is considered a premium DVC. But just be careful, you may never want to go back to SSR.

I have been calling day by day this week. So far I have changed my SSR ressie to four days at VWL and two at BCV, I have two days left to go. I am only getting a studio but I have had no problem. The main reason we are changing is for Star Wars' Weekend. I want to be close to DS. I changed to VWL because then we will have stayed at every DVC on property.

Thanks everyone. I think I will try for BCV. We've stayed at BWV and loved taking the ferry to EPCOT and DS. It's so much easier with kids to do that.

kcgirl - I had reservations at VWL for June 3 - 9th and today was the 7 month window for me. I called tonight (love those extended Thursday hours!) and had no problem switching to BCV for the same time. We have a 2BR Dedicated. We had hoped for the 2BR with the 2 queens in the 2nd BR; but could only get a regular dedicated. We'll survive and we're very excited to try BCV. I'm sure if you call tomorrow (Friday) your chances will be good!

We switched to yesterday BWV for that week - yup, Star Wars Weekend was our main motivation. I don't think you'll have trouble switching since you're planning ahead at the 7 month window is just opening up - there's a chance you'll need to waitlist, but if you waitlist this early there's an extremely good chance it will come through.

Love that pixie dust - Just booked June 2 - 9th at BCV. I don't know if I would have tried w/o all the well wishing - thanks everyone. It will be my 1st time there and I am sooooo excited. The kids will love SAB. Okay, I'll love SAB. The kid in me always comes out at Disney!
Quick question for anyone - Is it a long walk from the BCV to SAB? Just curious!
