I have a new digital camera

I have memory cards for about 80 pictures....Do I buy another 132 card ($60) or is there someplace that I can download pictures to a CD (inexpensively) in or near WDW?

We'll have a car and will probably go off-site for some meals, I'm thinking like a CVS or Walmart?

How long are you there for?

We are going for 8 days and we are taking an SLR camera and a digital camera with 2 512MB CF cards. I do not think 60 pictures would cover a full trip.

If you go offsite to download daily maybe, but I know it is easy to go crazy with pictures in WDW> SO much to see. You can take 50 pictures of a parade and characters.

We'll be there for 4 days. We've been many times and I've never taken more than 4 rolls of film, and we seem to use less everytime we go....I know that I would sometimes take 2 pictures just to make sure it comes out...I won't have to do that with the digital....so that saves on some....

maybe I'll get another card, just to make sure...

Does anyone know of a place to download just in case?

I would definitely get another card before you go.

We tend to take A LOT more pictures with digital. There's no worry about *wasting* pics, and I don't dump bad pics until I get home and put them on my comp. We have enough room that I just take as many pictures as I want with no hassle about downloading. I love that I can take pictures of things I would have never wasted film on before. Some of those are the best memories.

Get another card. I am sure others will tell you that they have used their card and made a cd at DW only to come and find out that the cd was no good and that they already deleted their cards. So be careful. My suggestion would be to get another card or 2 or maybe disposable, just in case.


Or if you can, get the Sony cd mavica camera. No cards, but uses cd's. On 1 cd I got about 300 plus pics. Good thing is, 10 blank mini cid's cost about 8.00.

I had a card get corrupted and was unable to use it. So just in case have another card ready and waiting.
