I have a friend who is trying to get me to cancel my Disney Cruise. I booked it last year and she has been so jealous ever since. Now with the "war" she is telling me that I am crazy for going. The cruise is not until early summer. I told her that if things stay calm we are still going no matter what. She was so jealous after our first stay in 1999. She went last year and it rained on her the whole time. She says she does not see why people want to waste so much money on Disney. She said that it is no big deal. I keep telling her that Disney is such a fun escape and that my family loves it. Well now she thinks I am stupid for wanting to do the cruise. I am suppose to get together with her tomorrow and all I want to do is hit her over the head with a wet noodle. Urgh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would rather be at WDW with it raining than here at home. Maybe she hasn't gotten in touch with her "inner child" and doesn't know how to enjoy life

It's a shame she can't just be happy for you. I had a "friend" like that once. She would go on and on about her trips or big purchases. When I wanted to tell her about a trip that DH's company sent us on - she was too busy. Same thing when I found out I was pregnant - she had to go. She could never be happy for someone else. I got tired of it and eventually broke off the friendship.

I have a coworker and a boss that is like that. I just ignore them because I know I'll have more fun!!! They are beach people and one of them even goes to Cape Cod every summer with her family - you can't tell me they don't spend a nice amount of money there....she even started going off one time with me about how expensive the food was so I just said - well, it's not any more expensive than some of the restaurants you eat at here in town or the restaurants you go to in the burbs or the city. That shut her up for a very long time!!!!
