I have been to WDW many, many times, and I actually can't remember ever switching resorts...HOWEVER...I like to split stay if I can. I guess that's why I haven't had to change my ressies, I make them at 2 (okay, one trip 3!) resorts that I have the "bug" to stay at. Since my family size grew to 7 recently, though, that will probably not be happening anymore...too much effort to get 5 kids' stuff packed up to move! I'm glad you all have been able to still get the new resort that you wanted...have a great trip!

That happened to us too! We were going to stay 3 nights at Port Orleans Riverside, but we really thought it was for 4 nights because that's what we thought they said on the phone. Then we got a split stay at Polynesian for a night and Grand Floridian for three nights. But, we thought that was a little short for us to do everything we wanted to do so we booked Boardwalk Inn for 7 nights by luck!

I've only been to Disney once before, for our honeymoon, so when Dh agreed that it was time to go back, I think his one stipulation was that we stay at the same resort.

I have to agree with him though... we both loved POR so much (was Dixie Landings when we went), and just the thought of not staying there didn't much enter our minds.

There's no way we could afford a Deluxe, so it was an easy decision for us to make, and I know dd's are going to love it no matter where we stay.

I have just been infected with this "disease". We have (or rather had) booked POP but the last two days I have been teter-totering on a split stay (value and then deluxe) but today I turned around and changed our ressies to POR. I don't know if there is a "cure" but then again... don't know if I want a cure.... I'm having too much fun planning

Oh thank goodness. I'm not alone!!
I started at CSR then changed dates.
I then got a 40% off code and moved to AKL.
We then decided to go for Boardwalk Villas.
Then free dining came out and we realized we could stop fretting about how much this trip was costing and enjoy ourselves more by moving back down to CSR.
So after all that we settled on our original reservation. And to top it all off.. we have been using a TA this whole time.
Poor woman.
I have left it alone for a whole month now though. That's progress
