I hate thunderstorms

We are in the middle of a bad thunderstorm right now. It is lightening and they are expecting in excess of 25 mph winds as well as nickel size hail.

I hate thunderstorms. They make be extremely nervous and scared. Especially with the bad lightening.

We're having a huge thunderstorm right now too. The power has gone off at work several times. I like thunderstorms, I just hate driving home during work traffic in them.

Your not alone, I'm scared of thunder and lightening too. Walking back from MGM to the BCV one August during a bad storm was certainly interesting!! I've never moved so fast in my life!!

You know, I was never afraid of lightning until I moved to A;abama, and then South Florida. Yowsa! They had some show stoppers!

If it makes you feel any better, we had a pretty bad thunderstorm last night about 2am. I heard a little tappy-tap on my bedroom door. There stood my strapping 6'1" DS20 asking,"Can I get in bed with you?" Silly boy...come on in

He's scared to death everytime it thunders.

I hate thunderstorms period! I don't like anything about them! This summer we've had 2 massive storms within 2 weeks of each other that were torrential downpours and they both flooded my basement and my kids rooms and laundry room. We live in the DESERT. I hate them! It's dark and looking like a storm's a brewin' out there but I sure hope its not.

I am scared of them too.. but my DH and I are storm spotters (his idea..he needed a partner so I got talked into it). As soon as the warnings go off for our area I know to start getting ready to be activated.

It is getting to the point of where I would love to stay home and just be able to (never thought I would say this) enjoy the storm from my living room window instead of being out in it.

I LIVE for storms...and considered being a storm chaser for many years. Now I just do personal research on them. I especially love it when the storms are tornadic...such awesome learning experiences there!!

However anytime you're in a storm, especially with lightning, I'd always recommend turning off the computer.
