I Hate This Waiting Game!!

Ok I really need to vent. I bought a 35 pt resale at the begining of Sept and a few days later got addonitis and bought another 100 pt resale. I finally closed 10/30 and was able to use the 35 pts to make a ressie on 10/6. I asked the closing agent about the other contract and there was an issue with the deed not being notarized, but told me that there was no reason why my contract wouldn't close by 11/09 which was what was closing date on contract. On 11/7 I received email from TSS saying that I had closed and that pts would be available on 11/16. So I have been calling MS and nothing. I emailed TSS yesterday and did not get a reply, so I called today. Now they are telling me that email saying I had closed was for the first contract and that the 2nd contract has NOT closed yet.
I am really ticked off.

Really sorry to hear of the delays and the need to vent. The wait on those first contracts is so stressfull!

There are so many things that have to happen in order...from beginning to end...that it just takes time. The contract we just sold was "textbook" where both we and the buyers returned everything as soon as possible, and it still took two months. There are many things that can slow down the process. Also, some sellers drag their feet because it's sometimes hard to let go...

The Timeshare Store was wonderful to us and did a great job!

Can you cancel that second contract and buy directly through Disney? The cost per point might be higher, but you wouldn't have any closing costs. The points would be available right away, too.

That is what I wanted to do and I notified the agent and she told me she was going to "rush" my closing through and ask Disney to do the same. Honestly, I do not believe her, but I do not want to risk losing any of my money. I am just going to wait it out I guess. When I called for availability for early Feb a few weeks ago, they did have it at that time. I have cash ressie just in case for that short trip. But more importantly, my August trip needs to be booked as I do not have cash back up ressie for that one, nor can I afford to fork over more money after I just gave them 13k for DVC.

We contracted resales around the same time. I had issues with ROFR. TTS also told me they would rush closing and ask Disney to get my points in quick. They did both. I closed on Friday and my points were available on Monday. I hope all goes well!
