I hate summer! And these annoying wasps!

First of all, its too hot outside!! I like it on vacation, but not everyday living in it. Next, why is it that since we've moved in our house, wasps seem to enjoy our company and decide to build their houses on ours? Not just one....we're now up to four that our currently on our house, the latest being above our front door, so that I don't want to go out that way! And, they go behind our shutters by the windows too. I'm calling someone to get rid of them today! Does anyone know if theres a way to prevent them from building in the first place? I can't wait til its fall and 50 degrees outside!
