It's my eldest DDs 18th in April and she's having a party - which means she needs a party dress!

Her and DW went onto Leicester the other week and there were loads of dresses that DD liked, so yesterday DDs piggy bank (me!) went back to Leicester with them to get a dress. Me think it would just be a case of going back to the shop where she found the dresses and buying one.

We got to Leicester and all the dresses she liked a few weeks ago she now doesn't! So we ended up trudging round about 50 dress shops :headache: trying on more and more dresses with me having to stand outside fitting rooms like a lemon for hours.
Why don't these shops put seats outside the fitting rooms :sad2:

After about 3 hours we gave up and came home - which means we will probably have to go back again :scared:

lol
I hate shopping with men! "what do you need that for?" all the time, erm because I like it!:lmao:

Sorry your having a hard time with your DD.

My sister might be the same down the road.. Thank god she's on 13. Only god knows what she'll be like when she's older!! :scared1:

Why don't you just give DW and DD your credit card and let them go themselves !!!!!!!! LOL :thumbsup2

My DH doesn't mind going with me sometimes. And some shops actually do have seats outside the changing rooms so he can sit there for hours with a newspaper while I am in trying lots of different clothes on.

I'm glad I have 2 sons.......... don't get that problem with them.

Oh, men are so ridiculous with their 'but you already have 6 pairs of black trousers' rubbish - every girl knows you can never have too many clothes, and besides the dresses she tried on a few days ago are passe now - don't you know anything? ;)

::yes:: Lets face it, they will never truly understand Carol :rotfl:

I feel your pain Tim:)

I really hate trudging round shops as well. I'm more off a fly in grab it and pay for it type of girl... Much prefer shopping online. More civislised, you can shop whilst you are sitting with a drink and a nice big bar of chocolate.

LOL - Poor Tim, you have to feel sorry for some men :thumbsup2

I think it may be better for you Tim if you give your DD & Missus a wad full of cash and let them get on with it :)

I tend to use cash or credit cards. What exchange rate do you get? Methinks if it's good enough I could trade DW & DD in for that 42" Plasma screen I've been after.:lmao: :rotfl2:

TIm Tim Tim Tim Tim

you have a DD18 god knows how long you've been married
you must have learn't something by now

DO NOT GO CLOTHES SHOPPING WITH WOMEN:rotfl:

its there god given right to go into every shop
known to man and usually end up after hours
putting on and taking off the 1st shop you ever
visited, annd buy the 1st thing they tried on:rotfl2:

I have learnt the hard way. take them shopping by all means
pay for it all but do not get invoved with the "does this look nice on me"

I have it on many bitter experiences to stay non commital. i now find
a coffee shop buy a paper and sit there all afternoon until they have finished
then go and pay for it.

I have just got rid of my DD20 to uni and now I have DD11
who like every woman i know is never ever really satisfied:laughing:
