I hate my laptop right now

I am sooo mad

so the power cord was acting a little funky - you had to hold it a certain way for it to 'work' and charge -
then it stopped even doing that

I ordered a new cord

3 days cuz of the holiday

I get the cord

that one isn't any better


I am rippin!
HP keeps putting me on hold and transfering me to see if they can give me a refund on the cord.
I have to find someone to fix the dang computer now...

I got it in March and spent a lot more for it that i am use to spending on this stuff

It's probably the connecter, not the cord. This happened to my laptop; fortunately it was still under extended warranty so they fixed it "free" (not counting the couple of weeks without the laptop.)

Possibly the motherboard? That sounds like what happened to my laptop.....

That's exactly what happened to our laptop this week. The past 2 weeks I had been holding the cord just the right way to keep it charged (this is after getting the other spare cord out of storage). I gave up and took it to our local computer store. They called with the bad news, it needs a new motherboard. They told us that the adapter that the power cord connects too is part of the motherboard and would have to be replaced and told us that it would be between $800 and $900. I said "Thank you, I will be buying a new laptop". So here I am holding the power cord good and tight and crossing my fingers until we get the new one. We have had the computer for 4 years.
