I can't get myself to want to go to work tomorrow. I hate my job so bad. I need some advice.

There is so much drama at one of the locations... i just cant take it. I walked out friday, but the boss said to come back. I just dont want to work there anymore and my stomach just hurts thinking about going tomorrow

any advice.

Start looking for another job. Until then sit tight unless you are rich and can afford to not work. I'm sorry.

:grouphug: No advice but I know how you feel. I've had jobs before that on Sunday night I was DREADING going in the next day. Just hang in there (unless you can financially afford to work part time or not at all until you find something else). I disliked my last job (not hated, didn't dread on Sunday night but wasn't that excited either) but stuck it out. I took typing classes/computer classes and learned a foreign language by myself at night and applied to jobs after work and on the weekends. It became like my second job. I also considered going to night school at a local college but got a job offer sooner than I expected. I now have a better paying job that I like and get a lot of time off. It will get better! And being able to have a good reference (your current job) when you're job hunting helps so try not to burn that bridge. Just be proactive during the time you're not at work.

And as far as tomorrow, just take it hour by hour. Remind yourself when you pull up that you only have to endure this for 8 (or however many) hours and then you get to go home. Hopefully the work environment will get better until you can find something else.

Oh and I just got this job a little over a month ago so even though we're in a "recession" there are still jobs (and good ones!) out there. Just keep your head up and know that there are better things in store for you and it will happen!

I'm unemployed. I'll switch places with you in a minute!!!!

I'd rather not be happy going into work than just wondering when my next paycheck will come in so I can pay my bills..............

Thanks guys... i just dont want to go tomorrow. I feel so bad i want to cry over it :( I hate it so bad.

True but when i am talking about drama, i mean all in your face yelling and screaming almost to the terms where your thinking the other person, might just hit you it will get that bad.

If you can afford to quit, then do it...if not, don't burn any bridges and do the best you can until you can find something else.

You are not alone in your experience or feeling (I'm sure we've all been there at some time or another).

Vent away from work when you can and just try to keep your chin up.

Can you work away from the "office" some? Do some field visits? Meetings? Definitely go out for lunch! Meet some friends or better yet some colleagues to see if they know of any other position.

Can you bring work home?

I had a bad job - a VERY bad job. After 10 years, I ended up walking out one Friday morning. My boss did something that was simply the last straw.

But I cried for days, I was so scared. I'd been there for a decade and had NOTHING lined up. Thankfully, I was working again in less than 3 weeks.

A bad job is detrimental to your health and to your happiness. Make it your primary focus in life to find another, better job. If you need the income I highly recommend that you don't do what I did but DO direct your energy into finding something better!

In the meantime, you've had some great advice - take it an hour at a time. It's just a job... hang in there!!

If that is the case, then I would report whomever is doing that to the Better Business Bureau because that is not right at all or professional.

I think everyone deals with drama at their job one way or another, but I learned that misery loves company and if you ignore them they will go away and stop yelling.

There is no reason for you to put up with yelling. Do you have an HR dept.? Can you file a complaint? It sounds like a hostile work environment. Sorry you are going through that. :sad2:

I agree with pps, actively look for another job. Do the best you can while you are at work. Keep a low profile. Stay under the radar. Do nice things for yourself. Take your breaks away from your workplace. Play low music if you can or have a headset. Keep looking for work elsewhere.

Good luck. It sounds like an awful environment.

 to you. I know exactly how you feel. I hate my job too - it is miserable where I work. I try to be a happy person but being there is making me miserable and sick. Our company is on the verge of closing our doors and I've been holding on in the hope that I will get laid off. That's probably a terrible thing to say but it has gotten so stressful. I made a countdown calendar counting down the days until the end of the year and I have been saving money. If I am not laid off by then, I think I am just going to quit. Part of me feels guilty, like I shouldn't because of the economy and the other part of me says just to do it for my own sanity.

I wish that I had advice for you. Just hang in there, keep your eye out for something new and take it one day at a time. :flower3:

DH is at that point in his job right now after being there 8 1/2 years. Unfortunately, he works with the stock market and there are no other jobs right now so he's stuck. If you can afford it, quit. If not, then try to make the most of a bad situation and focus all your energy on finding another job. Taking a 5 minute breather evey hour can do wonders.

I absolutely despise my job and the company I work for. I have only my own personal drive to get me through the day and make sure that I do a good job because I wouldn't do a thing for this company otherwise. So I can relate.

I keep on reminding myself that me walking out would mean that they won in a way. I would hurt myself way worse than I would hurt them particularly in this economy.

It sounds horrible for you but maybe you can keep the nastiness in mind so it motivates you to job hunt just a little harder? And remember that anyone that screams and acts crazy like that is probably miserable themselves. Not much comfort I know.

I know how you felt just changed my shift to get away from that. Can you move department? If not try and find another job you have my sympathy and a big  to get through the next few weeks.

Thank you everyone!!! I will try and remember what you girls said through out the day. Can i go ask fro a raise ??? :lmao: Just kidding!!!

:confused3 Can this be reported to Management? REALLY!!! NO ONE should be subjected to this----NO ONE!!
