I HATE my Ipod earphones!

My sweet dh gave me an ipod for my bday. I don't use it much though b/c the ear phones are awful - they refuse to stay in my ears. And it drives me crazy b/c they stay in my dh's ears just fine. Anyone else with this problem? Any solutions out there?

I have the exact same problem. I took the black pad covers off to help them stay in, but then they're even more uncomfortable.

You pretty much have to buy new ones. Everyone I know hates the ones that came with the iPod.

I have never liked "earbud" headphones...I like the "street style" ones...the clip over your ears and go around the back of your head.

the best are made by sony (trust me - the cheap ones have horrible sound quality compared to the sony) and are under $20 at most places (like target)

Yep. I even bought Apple's $35 headphones, thinking they wouldn't hurt. I hated them too. I ended up buying a $10 pair of Sony headphones that go over the head & they work great! I wish they came in white, but there's always hope.

I don't have much problem with the earphones, but my DH didn't like them.
I did have problems at first with them staying in, but when I make sure that I have the correct earpiece in the correct ear and make sure the cord is coming down the correct part of the ear, it works pretty well.

I have my ear pierced in my tragus (the little piece of cartilage that covers your ear hole) so the ear buds don't really stay put for me. I just haven't gotten around to buying new head phones yet. I primarily listen to my iPod in the car anyway.

Yep, best things going. I bought mine on ebay for $10 with no shipping. It does look rather funny because they're bigger than my Shuffle though!

I am glad I am not the only one. I have never heard anyone else complain about the ear buds and thought I just had odd shaped ears

I hate the iPod headphones as well. They never stay in my ears, even without the black foam on. I recently purchased the Sony earbud headphones (available on the Apple website). They come in white, and they have different sizes in the package for different ears. I use the smallest ones, and they work GREAT!

Add me to the list, they won't stay in my ears or my ds's ears. However, dh and dd can wear them just fine, go figure.

me to DH won a ipod shuffle at work and i hate the earphones
they have broken twice and i took them back they just give you a new pair
they did try to sell me a better pair but they were like 40 bucks no thanks

They're called earjams and they come w/ 3 sizes of ear things. They pop right onto your ipod earphones, they help keep them in place.

I had a problem until dh informed me that there is a right and a left one...apparently I was trying to use the left one in my right ear, the right one in my left ear. lol. once I figured that out it was much better.

HI my name is goofy and my ear buds don't fit right in my ears either....

They fall out...The earpeice for my cell phone doesn't work right either

Exactly! and I use the ones that came with a cd player when I walk (kinda the over the head type) Here all along I thought it was only my ears that they didn't fit!!

That's my only complaint with my IPOD the earphones gave me ear blisters and they would not stay in even when I put them in the correct ears. So, I bought some noise cancelling headphones that fit right in my ear and they are the best, especially on long flights. I love them.
