Darn my parents for teaching me to do the right thing. I bought a Kodak Playsport camcorder for DS for Christmas from Walmart. It arrived today. The box was unexpectedly heavy for a tiny handheld camcorder. When I opened the box there were two items...not one, but two. Surprise! One Playsport and one Kodak Easyshare camera. I immediately checked my invoice to make sure I wasn't charged for the camera since I am sure (even with my spotty memory) I didn't order it. I wasn't charged! :scared1::banana:Merry Christmas to me!

Too bad I can't keep it. I want to...but I didn't pay for it. I want to keep it. Its a nice little camera...but I didn't pay for it. Darn.

BTW, I'm not looking for validation to keep it. I already called Walmart and they're sending a shipping code to send it back. Darn.

Good Job!!! Karma will be around sometime to reward you. :)

I wonder if someone ordered those two items? They only got their video cam and had to can Wal-Mart and say "Hey were is my Camera!" Maybe next time at WDW you'll get chosen Family of the Day at one of the Parks!

Good for you, but I am surprised they asked for it back. Seriously, they usually just say keep it.

Last year, we ordered a Peg Perego Pliko Switch stroller through BRU. A week or so later, we picked up our stroller at the store. A few days after that, another one was shipped to our house. We took it back to the store but could have just as easily kept it. Didn't want to risk the baby-karma, however.

Something like that happened a couple of weeks ago at the Credit Union - I was at the drive-thru making a deposit and was just waiting on my receipt. I look over to the vacuum tube and the teller had sent a HUGE envelope of cash - more that the check I deposited was worth. :scared1: I pushed the 'return' button before I was too tempted to grab the envelope & take off. :thumbsup2

WOW! You are really good! I dont know if i would have done the same thing... ;)
I am surprised they didnt say keep it. I bought some stuff from Disney store. One set of PJ's came in but inside was a handy manny tshirt. I looked at the front of the bag, and it had two bar code stickers on it. One for the handy manny shirt, and one for the PJ's. I called and they sent out the PJ's and told me to keep the shirt.

We had the same thing happen with the Disney Store. A camera, however, is a good bit more costly than a shirt.

Good for you OP, you did the right thing.

Good for you! I'm glad there are other good folks out there. :) I'd have done the same thing, painful as it may have been! :P

Years ago, we bought a Canon digital camera from Walmart . com and they sent two separate shipments of the same camera. We called them to tell them about it and their records showed only one shipment. :confused3

Anyway, we sent it back.

That would be nice, but it would be nicer if wal mart sent her a Gift card for her token of honesty:goodvibes

I should call Disney and tell them. I'm sure they'll care.:lmao::lmao::lmao:

good for you , we need more people like you in this world !

Don't give me too much credit. DD was with me when we opened it. Showing her we had to do the right thing was part (most) of my motivation.;)

You did the right thing OP. Karma will come back around and I wouldn't want to be bitten by it if you chose the other options. ;)

God Bless your parents for teaching you the 'right' way, and God Bless you for teaching your daughter the 'right' way..there are too many people in the world who would have just kept the uncharged for item instead of sending it back
Merry Christmas to you and your family!

That's a good point. Having both my wife and I involved in the stroller convo probably increased the chances of us quickly coming to the right decision. You don't want your loved one to see you as a scumbag, after all.

I found $150 cash outside of Best Buy yesterday. I just couldn't keep it. My son pointed out that the manager at Best Buy might pocket the money and I told him that very well could happen but at least I can sleep at night. If it was just a few bucks, I would have kept it but I couldn't keep that much. Although unlikely, I am hoping someone calls the store and is able to claim their money. I did come home and tell my mom that I was not speaking to her because she had to raise me with those stupid high ethics and moral value crap. :rotfl2:

This happened to us a couple of years ago.
My sister ordered plates for my Christmas present frrom Target,
they were a set of 6 but they only shipped 4. She called them and they said they would send out the set of 6 and a call tag for the set of 4. After a year and several phone calls to Target she still had them and just gave them to me. This year was the first time I got to use all 10 of my Thanksgiving plates !
