Ah, I was waiting for Safetymom to chime in, knowing that she flies US Airways even more than I fly United. I doubt that she would put in that much mileage, as well as be a moderator on the flyertalk US Airways forum if it were that bad on a regular basis.....
Again, different needs for different people; personally I cannot judge a airline/car rental company etc based on one disappointing experience.
