I hate deciding what's for dinner.....

I am with you on that. If I could just figure out what "I don't care" or "I don't know" is I would be all set because it seems like that is what my family wants most often.

OMG If I hear that one more time in my house I will go crazy. No one cares until it's in front of them then they don't want it - oh well too bad. I am getting sick of the same old things too.

We should do a email recipe exchange.

I hate deciding what is for dinner too. Sometimes I just don't feel like cooking, but I get tired of takeout too.

:rotfl: My DH says that all the time, but then gets on my case about why we need a menu system. Whatever.

We rotate through the same few meals too; I don't really enjoy cooking, so whatever I make has to be prepared within 30 minutes or I get grumpy. But those 30 min cookbooks won't work because I'm the picky one in the family, and I refuse to make anything I won't eat. :rotfl:

We had that "eat what is cooked rule" in our house too....but about 2 years ago I started taking a Rx that has changed my eating habits....sodas taste like cough syrup, meat taste different ( I used to love steak!), etc.

Prior to this medicine I would eat anything and had very few things I didn't care for....but I've learned that you can't eat things you don't like...therefore that is why I don't push my young niece. I keep trying new things, but if she spits it out....I understand.

I, too, am sick of having the same things over and over. My mom and sister were always picky eaters and my dad and I weren't, so I never got to have anything I really enjoyed since it was the same meals every week.

Now I'm learning how to cook well though and since my boyfriend will eat almost anything, I can branch out and experiment. I'm having lamb chops tonight. :) It's a splurge for me (it's like 4 bucks a chop) but I've been craving it.

I second having the recipe trade that someone suggested. I could use one. :)

I am in the same boat....
On grocery shopping day I force DH to pick two things he wants for dinner this week. He acts like I am torturing him. Sometimes he won't do it, says "I don't care" but most of my suggestions he says "no". We eat out once a week which means I have to come up with four ideas myself. We are not picky and eat all kind of meat/chicken/fish but it seems we have the same things over and over... :rolleyes1

On another note, I have to say a big HI to Brianne! That is my DD's name, spelled the same as you. I always thought I gave her a unique name until she started school and there were 50,000 Briana's so that's what everyone always called her and we have spent 18 years saying "it's Brianne - no a at the end". Of course now that she is away at college, she prefers Bree :) How about you?

I was going to make fried chicken tonight, remembered to take it out of the freezer and everything. I start to fry the chicken and it SMELLS really bad. I threw it out and now I am hoping the Schwan's guy gets here soon so I can buy something off the truck for dinner otherwise I have to pick something up. Oh well, I tried!
