I hate couriers

If you're sending anything in the post, pay a little extra and go for a more reputable courier. The cheap ones will abuse your package! I just shipped a birthday present to America and the end result looked like it had been sat on! Not very attractive

Certain things are always worth the extra, I had a friend whose son worked in a courier place and he said bored workers would play games with the items like checking to see how far they could throw stuff.

We just ordered four new outside lights for the house, and we were very worried about whether they would get broken in shipping. There were a few dents and holes in the exterior boxes, but they were packed like nesting dolls, first in pre molded styrofoam, then in double ply sturdy cardboard boxes, then in single ply cardboard boxes . . . I opened each one to check it and they all arrived without any damage.

We are of an age now where we hold on to any sturdy, double ply boxes we receive because they are so good for packing items to ship. “It’s a really good box!”
