I'm scared to eat there because I hate Chinese food and the pictures of the food look Chinesey. :crazy2: I hear that it's so great, though. It looks fairly expensive, so I want to choose wisely.

Any advice?

There are only a couple of Chinese-y things at 'Ohana- the wings and the stir fry veggies. Honestly, neither one is terribly Chinese- just Chinese-ish. Don't worry- you'll have plenty to eat there! The meats are all basic grilled ones, and the sides are mostly basic. We love Chinese an other Asian food, and the food at 'Ohana is definitely NOT what we would consider Chinese at all.

We ate there last week (for the first time). Most of it is not like chinese food, maybe only the noodles. It was the best meal of my trip!

The bread pudding was awesome!

My chinese food likes consist of swwet and sour chicken and shrimp.. about as basic as you get...and I really like O'hana the chicken wings have sesame seeds on it you can ask without...the noodles are kinda chinesesy but I don't eat them...there is so much other stuff to fill up on! Yummy meat and shrimp and the Bread pudding is to die for and I don't like bread puddine hahahaha!
It is worth it !! Give it a try and get a window seat at wishes time it's wonderful!! If you miss Wishes then and have some time after go out to the Poly beach to watch, it's a beautiful view!!
Have a great time!!

The hotel is polynesian and the theme goes through to the resturant and lounge.

The food though, is more like a Texas de Brazil vs. chinese take out. I agree the noodles do skirt around chinese some, but are really delicious.

This place has the best turkey I have had ever! ( Sorry Mom ) :lmao:

Its not like Chinese at all, at least not to us. Killer salad and bread, potstickers are good, the noodles are good...savory taste, the veggies and wings are awesome! The meats and shrimp are to die for and the dessert oooohhhh baby was it good

I also do not like Chinese food and LOVE Ohana's. I have to say I never even thought they were supposed to be similar.

It's not the least bit chinese. What exactly looked "chinese" to you? We decided that Ohana was our favorite restaurant our last trip. But, it is most definitely not chinese, it's barely polynesian.

We love O'Hana. In fact, my husband loved the food so much that he made second reservations for the place. He cancelled our reservations for Crystal Palace. I would not call O'Hana Chinese food at all. The pineapple bread is so wonderful, the veggies are good, meats are fabulous. and the bread pudding with Banana Foster sauce is to die for.

I do not consider Boma chinese at all, i love asian and do not find it to have anything like that. Maybe the noodles, but that is it. If anything it reminds me of a Brazilian restaurant.

I love Chinese food, and I hated 'Ohana - so I think you'll be OK. ;)

It really isn't like Chinese food AT ALL - even the noodles. You'll probably love it - most people do. :goodvibes

I don't see the two as being comparable. Nonetheless, I love Chinese food and we hated 'Ohana.
