i am very surprised to say, but my time at Uni/IOA and seaworld was more enjoyable then disney, of course i had a great time at disney, but i had an even better time at the other three.

Dont worry it happens to all of us! Disney is Disney!!! But Universal /Ioa take it to a whole new level of fun for the family,Sea world is a favorite for my daughter :flower: I think the mouse has lost allott of :wizard: magic in the past 5-7 years. :charac2: One of the many reasons why we don't own Disney Ap's,But we do own Seaworld ,Bush gardens,Cypress Gardens,Wild Adventure's,Universal/Ioa Ap's,I like to say i work hard and i play hard!

US/IOA have really come into their own as where WDW has been sliding downhill slightly each year. I love them all, but I'm too the point where a weekend at the hard rock sounds better than WDW. :D

Yep, Isn't it great :)

We still do our 2 or 3 days at WDW but spend most of our time at USF/IOA. We found Seaworld to be a nice break from the parks, quieter, a different kind of day. We are finally getting to Bucsh this trip as we've never been. I'm sure that will be great as well. There is so much to do in Orlando, I've never understood why some people spend everyday just at one place and never venture away from DW. They are missing alot, I think.

I've also jumped on the bandwagon. I found Universal and IOA to be far more enjoyable my last trip. I honestly cannot wait to return to Orlando to stay again in the HRH and FOTL just cannot be beat. It just seems that Universal tends to their guests more so than Disney has been lately.

Shhhhh...You're all giving away the big secret ;)

Seriously, we have not set foot in a Disney park in almost four years. We used to have AP's at both WDW and UO but over the past few years, Disney magic has been waning rather quickly. Case in point--did anyone else watch the Walt Disney World Christmas "Parade" yesterday on ABC? I really wondered where the parade went; it was more like a 120 minute Disney infomercial! Universal gives a lot more to its guests, especially when it comes to annual pass holders. Disney's AP "perks" have become laughable.

One of these years, I might hit a Disney park or two on a subsequent visit, but the bulk of my time will be spent at USF/IOA.

I agree! I like Disney, but I LOVE Universal! :) As my children get older, they like Universal more and more and so do we, so we seem to plan more days at Universal now :)

Glad you had a great time!! :)

I am glad to hear all these positives about universal, but honestly, I don't think it could come close to the Disney experience for me personally. I hope it's as good as you all say. We are just going for a weekend to do a quick trip there. The last time we went to universal was about 7 years ago, and at that time the service was lacking, I thought. Looking forward to the improvement!

Hello,
I just have to agree with you. I have been going to Disney since 1974, and it just aint what it used to be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have seen serious decline over the past five years---what a disappointment!! We are disney vacation club members, and I am seriously considering selling all, or at least part of it. With what I pay in annual dues each year, I could spend over 200.00 a night on a hotel, and until this year there really weren't that many benefits, certainly not worth what we have paid for the timeshare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Disney just keeps adding thrill rides, that my son can't and won't do, it's not as clean as it used to be, and the staff don't compare to universal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are FAR MORE FRIENDLY at universal, period!!!!!!!! And as far as the DVC goes, they have added so many dvc resorts that I just don't see the point anymore!!!!!!! I don't know, I will continue to go to disney, but as an adult who has been going my entire life, I can see the decline and it is sad.
