All my friends/neighbors/family know I am a Disney fanatic & will come to me asking questions.

Well, one friend & his family went to Disney a few weeks ago over Easter. They had called me prior asking what kind of deals they could get, what type of tickets to buy, etc.

I talked to him a few days ago & he said he couldn't believe the deal they had on the tickets - the 4 days for $109. He wanted to know why I didn't tell him about that. I told him that was for residents only. He insisted that if residents could buy more than 1 he was going to find someone he knew to get some for future trips because he thought $200 for the 4-day hopper was too much. I explained that even if he did they expired in October. He got annoyed when I told him that.

He proceeded to tell me that it was just "too hard" to take the kids to the parks over Easter. His kids are 6 1/2, 5 1/2 & 17 months. It was just too crowded. I had explained to him before they went that the parks were crowded during that time of year.

Then (& I had to laugh at this) he told me that FASTPASSES were stupid because you put your ticket in & got a pass that wasn't good for another 3 hours & then they couldn't get another one for 2 more hours. I tried to patiently explain to him that that is how the system works & he was supposed to go see another attraction while waiting for his ticket to "come due". He said, "well, I know, but that is still a stupd system".

I finally gave up talking to him & said "well, we had a great time & are going again next Easter - talk to you soon". UGH - some people are so hard headed!!

With friends like him, who needs enemas?

FYI, he's now my friend. The more people that think FP is stupid, the more opportunities per day to walk past him in line!

Well, I think your friend has somewhat of a point. It IS hard to tour WDW, handle Fast Pass backtracking etc., with three kids that young. I guess it wasn't too bad though, or he wouldn't be going back. Diana

Easter would never be a first pick for someone going to WDW for the first time. In fact, I was persuading people NOT to go at that time if they could avoid it. Sometimes people just make me stop and wonder....

We were ther over Easter and fast pass saved our life. Actually the Sat before easter I was quite surprised at the amount of people in MK. We had been on BTM, SPLM, Toms island, JC, POC, Aladdin,
and all before 10:30 it was great. It wasn't until we hit fantasy land that we had to start getting fastpasses. I think some people go looking for the neagatives.

Cute post. Thanks for the laughs!!! Enemas!!! LOL!!!!!

Really I agree with AnnaE4 some people just don't get and and they never will. Reminds me of one family I know who acually said to me after they had gone to Disney that there just wasn't anything for their kids to do there. WHAT!!!! Needless to say I will NOT be talking to them about Disney (or for that matter not much else) in the near future!!

Some people are no fun!!

Yep. It's amazing, isn't it? Maybe Fastpass can't be appreciated by someone who has never toured WDW without it? Well, whatever it is, it's okay by me, I'd rather be surrounded by other Disney fanatics like myself than grumpy non-believers. ;)

I know a family who went to WDW and here's what the mom told me: "My kids didn't like it. They liked Las Vegas better. It's nicer out West. I wouldn't waste my time or money on Disney World again". Yeah, yeah, yeah... You know what? Fine with me. Keep away from MY DISNEY WORLD! :D :D :D

Who needs ENEMAS???:p :p :p :p :p :p I think I've found a new favorite line!!!!!

Thanks, Belle5, DisneyMim & MELSMICE,

That thought just popped into my head even before the coffee kicked in!

 Don't you just hate when you bust your behind to help a friend and they throw the..... why didn't you tell me about this or that..... on you!! Makes me want to SCREAM!!!!!
We took some friends of our with us last year for the first time.
We have been to WDW 26 times, I do my homework, and I stay on the boards all the time. They have NEVER been, never even read a guide book. When we got down there to check in the WL,
while standing in line she throws on me...So and So that's my cousin and works here said that they give out FREE park tickets all the time all you have to do is ask for them!!! Yeah RIGHT!!
She kept on arguing with me,right up to the front desk till I was so aggrivated I just blurted out the the CM, "Do you think we could get some of those free tickets ya'll give out to whoever asks"???
Of course the poor CM didn't have any idea what i was talking about. And needless to say my friend was soon laying down the $$$ for her passes!!!!
Do you know after that she STILL insisted that they DO give out free passes, it was just that I didn't know who to ask!!!!

OMG, Brier Rose . . . what a terrible start to your trip. I sure hope it got better from there . . . . .

I find it especially annoying when friends ask for advice about WDW, then proceed to totally ignore what you've told them. These are the same "friends" who return from their trip complaining about lines, crowds, cost of food, etc.

that went to WDW and said it was too expensive, and the lines were too long, and he didn't have a good time and I asked WHY he didn't get the 4 day pass and use fast Pass.....his answer: "Whats THAT?" I said "I guess NOW you know WHY you didn't have a good time!" I never explained it to him, cause he wouldn't listen anyway!

We have met people like that:) Thank goodness he won't be at WDW when we will be:):bounce: :Pinkbounc :p

Another good one is my MIL. She always says "You're going there AGAIN"? Like we're going to our own executions or something. And she has never been there herself, and has no desire to go there. How can you bash a place you've never even been to?

On a happy note, my husbands friend from work told DH he was planning a first time trip to WDW with his wife, 2 children and mother. He asked if we could bring some maps back for him. We gave him a map of each park and transportation map and suggested staying on site. Well they booked a villa at OKW and before they went he had the kids mark off what they wanted to do at each park on the maps. They also planned where to eat and asked me to look at their ideas afterwards:) They also had me write down anything that was down for re-hab and the E-ticket nights for their stay. I was pretty impressed. Anyway-they LOVED WDW and want to go back ASAP. See what some planning can do.
