I posted a couple of weeks ago about our screwed up trip to Hawaii because of the storm we were a day late getting there so we added on a day at a different hotel (The Marriot in Wailea) for the last night. When I checked in I noticed that they had me reserved for 2 nights rather than one. I thought the girl fixed it. Now here is the stupid thing I did -- whenever we stay at Disney I always do the express check out so I never actually check out at the desk. I have never had a problem. Well I didn't check out at the desk at the Marriot. I had given them my credit card when we checked in and I thought I was all set. We were late leaving for the airport to catch our flight so I didn't think about it. Well today I get my statement in the mail showing I was charged for 2 nights. I called expecting they would just take care of it. Apparently I was supposed to check out at the desk. I was transferred to the financial department and they will look into it and get back to me, but I may be charged for that night.
In addition to that in the mail today I got a sewer assessment bill for $500 due tomorrow!!! We are not even tied into the sewer system. They had screwed up our previous bills and never sent them out to us so I had to pay $565 for the past 4 years in Nov.
I also just paid a plumber $600 to repair the heating pipes that burst while we were gone because our furnace did not fire on like it should have.
Welcome home I guess and back to reality!
