Well, I did my first long run for the WDW full this morning. When I got to mile 8, my route transformed into EPCOT in my mind. I'm really looking forward to sharing this great event with everybody!!! Keep running (or walking) everybody; that Mickey, Donald, or Goofy Medal is just a few months away!!!!

Ed, That's great! I am continuing my training as well getting ready for the half. I have no idea what medal I get for that but honestly for me, I just want to finish and not get swept. I am doing the Nike 10k tomorrow and am looking forward to it.

Yay! We're doing it. I love the excitement!

I look forward to sharing some of this with you too!

:cheer2:

Just looked over my plan and I don't start until next Monday. Not that it matters much as I run every other day anyways but now I have to do it. My first LR is 10 miles :scared1:. It only gets worse from there.

I am doing the Higdon Intermediate II since it has back to back runs that are pretty long. Need to get used to running back to back long days for the Goofy. I might scale it back a bit as I want to make it to the start healthy.

enjoy,
Duane

I'm getting excited to start training for my half. If I can get my knee/hip issues in line, then it will be great. Need to dredge out the MFM 1/2 or else scan the RW site for something.

Want to get in another week or two of easy 3 milers to build a little base.

Woohoo!!

I actually started about 6 weeks ago with half marathon training since I am planning on doing a local half in November. The ramp up to full marathon training starts Sept 22 - but it won't be like until mid October until the full training is more than the half training. I did 9 miles yesterday and the past few weeks have been doing 7-8 miles for the long run on Saturdays with my group.

I probably won't start marathon training until after the TOT! I am already doing long walks of 10-12 miles so I won't have too may more miles to add before tapering in Dec!

I start the MfM R/W half plan in a couple weeks after my vacay. I actually may start it on my vacation (we'll be at the beach), at least then I can sort of justify all the extra calories I will be consuming.

CAN NOT WAIT to get that Donald bling for 09 and start planning for Goofy 2010!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

My running buddy and I have been in training mode for about 3 weeks now. Its exciting to be back in full swing again!

My saturday run was the run in three weeks that didn't leave me dog tired and miserable. I am hoping the new routine will settle in and I will be on auto pilot in a couple weeks.

RUN - EAT - SLEEP - REPEAT
