My kids will be so excited! I went on Hotel Kingdom and got the Liki Tiki for $87.22 (including taxes) for two nights. I just had to pay a deposit of $31.60 and I can pay the rest upon arrival. My kids love the liki tiki, I can't wait to tell them:) So...two days at Liki Tiki (for my kids), 5 days at Disney (for me) and then 2 days in Daytona for husband) :)

Sounds like the perfect trip. My family would enjoy the same schedule. We had to pry our kids away from the liki tiki last year to go to the parks.

Congrats and make sure you don't let them place you in the small townhouses.

What is "Liki Tiki' ? :confused3

I agree we stayed in the 1100 building right across from the waterpark. They were new with the Big Screen T.V.'s. My kids really enjoyed liki tiki!!!

It is a resort. I have actually never seen reviews for this place-- so it's nice to see people really enjoy it there.

www.clubnavigo.com it's a resort located in Winter Garden, FL. Nice place...my DH will not stay any other place offsite because our DD10 loves it.

We stayed in the 1000 building across from maintenance last time...it was quiet and away from the pool just the way we like it.

Get into the 1000+ buildings if you can. You should call now to put in your request.

I had put in a request for a one floor unit...I have a son that sleepwalks and I really don't need him falling down the stairs. We had a really nice one floor unit the last time we stayed there...We are going to fly down on 8/25 and we won't be arriving until 9:45pm, so the next day we are just staying at the Liki Tiki. My kids were so excited (I swear more excited than going to Disney, lol). Another place you can go is www.islandone.com and look at their resorts. Liki Tiki village has a lot nice little water park with a few slides, a small wave pool...my kids LOVE it! I was so excited to see it on Hotel Kingdom! http://www.islandone.com/ior/likitiki.html to check out the water park area.

I've heard mixed reviews on the place here so it has been discussed. One thing i heard was that they sell admission to the waterpark to the general public so it won't just be the resort guests that are there. This resort was owned by Ron Jon a few years ago and sold.

They do not sell admission to the general public because it's not a waterpark. There are like two slides (one top open and a closed one) at the main pool. They do go overboard with saying it's a waterpark...it's not and fishing is not really fishing...it's a pond with small boats.

As far as mixed reviews, I've read a lot of them lately and the main reason for the negative one is because they were placed in those two floor houses...the old ones. Back in January 2003 there was only one review out there (I tried to research the place before we went)...I found one on RCI's review website and a lady who wrote it said to request to stay in the 700+ buildings back then or be ready to be disappointed. Now that the resort has grown, staying in the 1000+ buildings will satisfy your needs. I have some pictures of the place I will go get them and post them here.

Yes, the name of the place was changed three times and hasn't changed since 2002 so that's a good sign.

I have read that the Liki Tiki also not sell admission to its waterpark area but it does allow some other II resorts (ex. parkway International, but NOT vacation villages at parkway) to come and use the waterpark area for a small fee.

We stayed at the Liki Tiki in May, we were supposed to be in a 2 br high rise, but when we got there we were assigned to a townhouse. I don't remember the number of the building but it was the first one on the left when you came in. I am assuming it had been remodeled because it looked great, very bright and cheery. Our problem was that in the townhouse the second bedroom has two twin beds and no tv. This was the bedroom that DH and I were sharing with out two boys 2 and 4. I called and they were able to switch us to the high rise, but my dad had fallen in love with the screened in porch so we had to stay, he spent every minute there that we weren't in the parks. The offered to bring us a crib at no cost, when it got there it was a portacrib which was too small, so they brought us a roll away bed. I was too worried about DS rolling off, so we ended up pushing the twins together and putting the mattress from the pull out couch on the floor and things worked out fine. My point is they were very accommodating. Everyone we met was very friendly, the had a continiental breakfast each morning at one of the pools and the lady that worked there was wonderful too. My guys loved the playgrounds, the miniature golf, and both pools. We could have spent the whole week at the resort. If anyone has any specific questions feel free to ask or pm me.

Hearing that the townhouses have been remodeled is great news!

OK I asked if it was OK to post my pictures to the moderator of this forum a day ago and I got no response so here they are.

Sorry for the mess...I decided to take pictures 4 days after we got there. Not good! ;) I failed to take a picture of the master bed with the whirlpool tub...

2bed/2bath in the 1000 building...it's located to the far left in the front of the resort. Not far from the club house but a little walk to the main pool.
