I was just about to post that too. At least I read the other posts first.
And how would reading Japanese comics make you emo? Emo=depressed and thinks everyone in the world hates them. A lot of anime and manga is creepily happy.

I think all these wars should stop between people and there's a lot of favoritism on these boards which I don't think it is fair and imo The DIS VMK Boards are losing their touch. I am just seeing a lot of really off-topic posts, those which do not talk about the thread they are posting to.

I don't think that they MAKE you emo, but that they are WRITTEN for emo people

they are written for Japanese citizens, just like comic books in the states are written for US citizens. Their popularity just brings it way beyond its target audience.
