I got the ECV!!

I just wanted to let everyone know that thanks to you and some others I decided to get the ecv while at the parks! Boy was I ever happy I did. I had all the reservations about people staring, feeling uncomfortable etc. But I had none of those problems.

I have severe OA in ankles, knees and hips, and the last time We went to disney, I was in tears by the end of the day. So this time, the OA was even worse, but the ecv was amazing. I felt rested and was in almost no pain by the end of the day. It was fun to have DW and DS not worry about me all day, and concentrate on their own fun(and it was kinda cool to have them tell me to slow down their feet were sore).

All my fears were totally unfounded. Plus the extra perks were an added bonus, like being able to ride BTMRR 2 times in a row without waiting.

To everyone thinking about getting 1 but who are worried like I was. I have 2 words..... DO IT!!!

I'm glad you had great trip and that the rental of an ECV was so helpful to you It's amazing what a difference they can make, in the quality of your vacation.

I was in your place last year before our trip in May, and I came here to the Disabilities Board and got great recommendations for off-site rentals, which I ended up doing. I'll be renting another ECV this May again. I actually came here to try and remember which company I used last year. LOL

Edited to add: As soon as I looked at the FAQ thread, I remembered the name, it was Walker Mobility!

Interesting comments.

Often those of us here have to figuratively hit people across the head and shoulders with 2x4s several times to get their attention. And they do come back later and tell us we were right.
