Not sure if it's still on but when I was at the Post Office the other day they had a better 'special rate' if you were buying £500 or over of Euros...

they always have a specialn rate but its still only 1.8, under £500 worth is something silly like 1.5

i quite like havin the euro as our currency now it took along time to get used to though.. i absolutely hated it at the start! its handy now for European hol's

and with Dublin being so expensive and dealin in € i think the likes of the clothes in Disney are quite reasonable

I have just found the credit card slip from when I bought our APs last October. It converted to £299. If I bought them now it would convert to about £344!

First choice just rung me and quoted me a rate of 1.17 which is better than the post offices 1.15

We are going for 5 days, but the first day we will only really need to eat once as we get there late, the last day we will only need lunch as we leave around 5, there are 2 adults and 2 kids and an infant going in our group, but I am taking money for just me and my dd, the other adult is my cousin, she is taking money for her and her 2 kids.

I know it's slumped - they quoted me 122 at the PO the other day - their normal rate was 119.

The best rate I've seen around is our local travel agents - they seem v competitive

It's a local one - Dawson & Sanderson - not national so probably no help - sorry. But it's def worth ringing a local agent and asking them their rate - they are often competitive.
