I got so excited today!

I went to get my mail and there it was! My own little package with Mickey Mouse all over it. I got my Disney Card membership package. I had to fight off my dd so I could be the first to see what Mickey sent me. Now I'm dying to go to TDS. Or WDW.

I'm a first time Disney card membership member. Anyone else a member? Have you been able to save a bunch of money with it?

I love getting Mickey stuff in the mail. I wonder if they can just mail me the entire WDW to my mail box? I might need to go get a bigger mailbox, just in case.

My SO thought I was nuts. I was worse than my kids are at Christmas time. I didn't expect it to get here so soon.

Tnkrbell, can you get a discount on the tickets from your DH's work? No wonder they threatened to go on strike.

Kitty, I'm glad the card is useful. I know it'll save me twice what I paid for it just on tickets alone!

We're members and we LOVE it! A lot of people say it isn't worth it, but it is to us. We got to TDS a lot and buy DVDs and toys and all kinds of stuff. Plus it saves you money on your stay at WDW We all gotta love that!

Yup we got ours this summer!!! We used the booklet of Entertainment club card hotels and got $810 off rooms for our Traverse City trip in Sept.

Lots of fun at TDS of course

And we'll use it for park hoppers in Feb and hoping for a good discount for our room at the Contemporary!

My dh thought I was throwing away $40, but after I made the TC ressies.....well let's just say he questions me NO MORE!

We had one a few years back when where DH works offered them. Used it that one year and saved some at places to eat at WDW. They don't offer it there anymore though!

It's so much fun to get WDW packages in the mail! I am a DC member too, and I've renewed the membership once because I did save a bunch of money. I did get $10 off my membership through work. I have definitely made my money back and then some!

You can save money w/ it, but it all just depends how much you spend. They take it at DTD, but not in the theme parks. So we usually buy our stuff there & have them ship it home (saves on FL sales tax too!). Have fun breaking it in & be sure to buy all of us something!!!

Disney did away with the old Magic Kingdom Club about 2 years ago & replaced it with the current version of the DC. At best, you can save $10 on DC memberships, but no more freebies.

Boy, you must lead a DULL LIFE like I do! I get excited when my Yellow Ressie envelope comes! I joined again this year, and yes I used to get mine for free thru Publix, but I am not joining next year, as I do not save that much, only on my Passes. So, I am getting a Fl. Seasonal Pass next month, for this Nov. and that should last me till I go next Nov. The hotels I save thru just being a Fl. Resident or thru Mousesavers!

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get the card in the mail once you join? We want to join, but we aren't sure if it would come in in time to use on our vacation in September. Can we join at TDS? Would that be faster? I never re-joined after it stopped being free at my old job, but now I want to.

I have saved so much money with this card. I just renewed my membership last week. Looking forward to seeing the new design for this year.

For my family, the biggest savings came from the promotions for the ice shows and of course the park hopper tickets that I bought for my trip in June. It's also not a bad deal to get the 10% reduction at TDS.

My original membership was $29.95, discounted $10.00 from my employer (State of Illinois.) My renewal fee was also $29.95 using a special code from one of my Disney Club mailings.

I mailed mine off on August 3rd, got it in the mail yesterday the 17th, so in my case it took 2 weeks.

Faith, the little things in life make me the happiest. You should see me when I get a postcard from Mickey.
