I got nothing!

On about November 1, 2007, I paid $750.00 for a 15 year extension on a fifty point contract at OKW. I paid for it by credit card.

Except for a receipt, I got nothing. Any of you who pay early with the hope that you will get the time capsule thingy, a letter of congrats, a bumper sticker, a cute pamphlet, a gold star or something, hold your money until the last day of February because you also will get NOTHING!

Why pay so early in the first place? If 2/29 is the deadline for receiving any gifts / incentives, it's common sense to wait until the last minute.

AKV "Founding Members" had to purchase by the end of February '07 but they didn't start receiving their tapestry notices until late July.

For OKW I doubt they will start sending anything out before March. Easier to just do it all at once.

In my case, common sense is not so common.

I am warning all of you, in case there is anyone else who intended to pay early with the desire to be the first kid on the block with a time capsule thingy and, perhaps, a thank you letter for paying so promptly or some kind of pat on that back. You will get nothing.

As Tjkaz says, wait until the last day in February to pay.

If Dianeschlicht is right and they send the Time Capsule Thingy out in 2042, as a 62 year old man, I find that to be unacceptable!

I just mailed my card in yesterday accepting the 15 year extension. I had several long talks with my ds(19) about it. I don't think I will extend Vero if they offer it even though that is our smallest contract. But I figured it would give him only the 3 ending years where he just had OKW points.

Sorry, you are having to wait so long, but I kinda figured they would do a mass mailing of them.
