I got my new (to me) Cordless Scooter!

I picked up my new/used scooter today. It is still cordless though! We have a family outing planned for tomorrow and with the battery charged it should be fine to get me through. Supposedly the power cord will come on Monday.


I also have a friend that said she can make me Fabric Seat Covers this weekend so I really needed to get it so she can work on them and have them done before my Disney Trip in 2 weeks.

Here is me and my new ride! I have already added a little bling. . .

I draped the fabric over the grey vinyl seat just to get an idea of how it would like. Does anyone recognize this fabric?????

I bought some things from Mousesurplus and they used these huge GF pillows as PACKING MATERIAL!!! The pillows were in perfect shape, but the covers really don't mach anything in my house, so I washed them and was holding on them. When I was trying to figure out what fabric I would want for this seat (I didn't take a photo but the back of the seat has a HUGE advertisement for the scooter with an 800# to call ) I remembered these pillow covers. High quality, pretty, slightly water resistant (I will scotchguard) and best of all? FREE!


Oh and DD8 saw it in the garage as we pulled in after I picked her up today. She got all excited in the car and said "Is that your new murder scooter??" Then she laughed and said "I mean MOTOR scooter." I told her actually she was probably right the first time!

We are going to the Aquarium tomorrow. We have been trying to get there for months but I just didn't want to be pushed around in the manual chair-- I can't enjoy things that way, DH is a lousy wc pusher! Now tomorrow we go!

That is my Disney Tiara bought when I met DIS friends there last fall. Shugardrawers and I both had to use scooters and decided that if we got to ride on the Coach we needed crowns to go with it! We wore them all week and had a great time! We also wear them back home for strength as we undergo our medical needs--Chemo for her and surgery and dr. appts for me. I wore it to the hospital for my surgery and then DH put it right back on me as soon as I returned to the room for recovery.

As the backpacks at WDW say, "Crowns are always in style" and "Never leave home without your crown"

I had to wear it for the photo to post here for my friends.


OH, and my power cord is in! Unfortunately I didn't get the message until 10 mins before the store closed yesterday so I will just pick it up on Monday.
