We recieved our luggage tags booklet today, we are leaving june 30th. We will be flying out of nashville, tn to MCO, then taking the magical express. Now i am still a bit confused on how this all works & i want to make sure i know before leaving so i do have a few ? if you don't mind helping.

1. My luggage tags have a big green mickey head with the letter AK on them, & the words pop-classic written underneath that. We are staying at the pop century resort. So is that the correct tags for that resort?

2. We will be arriving sometime around 3pm to our hotel, i had not planned on taking any bags with us on the plane. Should we be okay with just letting them deliver all luggage with us arriving early afternoon?

3. I am not sure we have recieved all of our stuff from disney/travel agency. I don't think our travel agency really knows much about disney they haven't really been much help. We recieved a paper with a breif description of our hotel & flight from them a few weeks after making the reservation. Now today our luggage tags booklet. What is it that we are to have when checking in at the airport?

I recieved my tags today also. I booked through AAA. In my package, I got our luggage tags(same as yours since we are staying at POP too). I'm assuming the Classic means we are staying in the Classic Year section of the resort. Vouchers for different items that came with the package etc... I was worried because we had no airline tickets. My TA(VERY informative about WDW :goodvibes ) informed me that since we booked through an agent, our reservation were electronic. She said that all we need to do when checking in for our flight from Charleston is show my driver's license. I'm also keeping my confirmation number and the Magical Express Booklet that came with my package handy.

This sounds right. Put one of these tags on the handle of each piece of CHECKED luggage.

Well, it's always a smart idea to bring some things with you in a carry-on just in case the airline delays your luggage. Change of clothes, toiletries, any medications. Expect your luggage to get to the hotel about 2-3 hours after you do. Remember, the great thing about DME is that the luggage is delivered inside your room whether you're there or not, so you don't need to wait around for it. If you want to wear different clothes later that day (dinner, swimming, etc.), then by all means you MUST take those with you in a carry-on. Even without DME, I do this anytime I fly anywhere. I consider it kind of like "trip insurance" in case the airline delays our luggage -- we can still have a good time!

I think all I recall receiving, other than the DME booklet, was a 1-page itinerary, and maybe another 1 or 2 page document detailing the costs and that we paid.

ENJOY WDW!

I would also pack at least a small carry-on with anything you may need for 24 hours in it. Such as a change of clothes, medications, swimsuits, toothbrush. From what I understand, your luggage may not arrive to your room for 1-3 hours (or Later) after you arrive. Better safe than sorry. Plus (heaven forbid) your luggage should happen to get "lost" you have at least a change of clothes.

Thanks for the replys that make me feel better now. About taking a carry on bag i just thought it would take longer in the security lines at the airport, having to carry it around with us.

There are very few airlines that still even offer old-fashioned paper tickets. Electronic tickets -- e-tickets -- are the absolute height of convenience. So it's not BECAUSE you booked with a TA.

In fact, an airline that REQUIRES old-fashioned paper tickets doesn't care how you booked, you'd still need paper tickets. Like AirTran for example. I booked my AirTran flights through WDTC -- saved me over $100 PER TICKET compared to AirTran's own website (YES, absolutely true, no typo). I was SHOCKED when I opened a thick envelope from my "travel agent," WDTC, with paper tickets from AirTran. The tickets have a little blue piece of paper stapled to them explaining that they are actual tickets and are REQUIRED for boarding. E-tickets are SOOOO much better. Now I keep having day-mares about being an hour into our 1 hour 5 minute drive to the airport and realizing I left the airline tickets at home. AAAARRRGGHH!

I haven't flown for 14 years  15 years (Had to add that one up :rotfl: ), so I didn't even know what e-tickets were :teeth: until this trip. Makes life a whole lot easier :thumbsup2 I should have worded it as "My TA informed me that tickets are now done electronically as opposed to paper. If paper tickets are warranted, it is around $75 to have each ticket printed" YIKES! :goodvibes

If I had the choice, I might pay $75 to NOT have paper tickets ... but I don't want to give AirTran any ideas about how to get even more of my money!

I just called delta to ask them a few ?'s & make sure our flight information was all correct. She was able to give me a confirmation # that i had not been given by our travel agency. So i was able to check the status & look at our seats on on delta.com. Thanks for the help i would be lost if i had never found this board. But now for another ? Please about our seats.

Our seats were over the wing & not were i had prefered them to be so i changed them online. Is that seating information completly correct & since i changed them am i going to get my seat request. We are traveling with our 6 year old & i don't want something to happen that we are not sitting next to her.

Both times I've flown with Delta I've picked my seats online and those are the ones I got. It was printed on my e-ticket copy and my boarding passes.

Delta has been changing alot of its flights... I know alot of people have been checking daily to make sure their seat assignments are the same.
