They sent me my Happy Birthday email with the choice of one of 5 blu ray movies, just pay S&H. I figured well that's not a bad deal, not a great selection of movies, but Meet the Robinsons was on there and looked pretty cute so I thought 'what the heck' it's $2.95 for the S&H. Well the movie came, sealed and all but there was no movie in it! :confused3

I've emailed them and have yet to get a response (emailed on Monday). Anybody else actually receive your 'free' birthday blu ray?

Yes.

I received my e-mail greetings from Disney, last month and also chose "Meet the Robinsons".

Paid the S&H and received the Blu-ray disc a short while later.

I think you were the unfortunate victim of something gone wrong in the manufacturing process -- normally, these things do have discs inside them...

As for e-mail - if you replied to the address that sent you the birthday greetings, it may be a "dead end" meaning that address does not receive e-mails.

Best to start working the phones, or send a snail mail to the fulfillment center (on the return address of your package that had the merchandise inside it).

I guess I should go look in mine to see if there is a movie in the case :rotfl:
Even though I don't have a blu-ray we are planning on getting one so I got the movie for my bday in March and haven't opened it yet. I am going to go dig it up now and check:lmao:

OUCH!! That's so weird! I was sent the same offer for my birthday last October, but the movie was there, just as it should be. So sorry to hear, and such the frustration!! :headache: I would have probably done just as you have. I wonder if there is a phone number you could call...? I looked on the website and there's a customer service number: 1-866-246-8646 Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Central Time, to speak to a Disney Movie Rewards Member Services representative. close."

Good luck!!

Hope you get this fixed! I didn't read my email from them on my birthday (May) and your post reminded me, so I went back to check and sure enough I get a free Blu-ray. I picked National Treasure since it is the only one we don't have. :thumbsup2

I'm off to check my Meet the Robinsons.

I don't have a Blue-Ray player so I was going to give it to my sister.

Mine contains the Disk.

It happens. Rarely, but it does happen.

It's a manufacturing mistake. For some reason the disc was simply not placed in one of the packages and it was wrapped before anyone noticed.

There is no reason to "blame" Disney Movie Rewards because there would have been no reason they would have known about it.

You did better than me, in some ways. I got the email but every time I clicked on the link, it came up saying something to the effect of, "This link is not valid for this offer," or something. I tried for a few days but it never worked, so I gave up.

I agree that it was probably a manufacturing mistake - I once bought a Pixar Short Films DVD at Toys R Us and it was sealed, etc and when I got it home and opened the case it was empty. Luckily I just returned it to the store and they gave me a new one. So the missing DVD thing really does happen!

I agree with the other posters - it was probably just a manufacturing issue. I received a DVD set of Grey's Anatomy as a gift once and it did not contain all of the discs - I had multiples of the same disc! I had no receipt, so I was just stuck with it!

Yep!

Just contact DMR, let them know...anyone who works customer service when DVDs are involved knows pretty quickly that these things do happen.

there is a phone number floating around here someplace for DMR...they are notorious for not responding to emails... goodluck... I got mine in December.. its a good deal... I hope they change the movies around by this December if they offer it again...since I already have all the movies they are offering now! :rotfl2: goodluck!!

Thank you for posting that phone number! I'll give them a call on Monday. It's not a big deal, I just thought it was kind of funny. I'm definately not mad or anything, in fact I thought it was quite a generous offer. I joked with DH that I guess $2.95 wasn't too bad of a price for my 100 DMR points. :rotfl:

I'll call them on Monday for sure though, hopefully they'll just send another one.
