I Got It!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have only been calling for a month since DH decided he wanted input on our ADRs and wanted to go to Ohanas! Seriously, I have been calling multiple times a day for a month. Today, there was Pixie Dust flying! The only thing that was different was that the CM who helped me today asked a lot more questions than they have been asking -- do we have kids in the party, are we staying on site, are we on the dining plan -- I remember them asking questions like that when I made our first round of ADRs 180 days out, but no one has asked since I have been on my Ohana quest. Anyway, I gave my standard schpeel "Hi, i was just checking to see if you happen to have any availability for a party of 4 for Ohana on xxx for dinner." That's when she asked all of her questions. She said, "Oh I'm sorry, our first availability is 9:25 that night." (FTR, if you like to eat late, that reservation has been available the entire time I have been calling.) THEN she said, "Oh, but if you were a party of 6, I could get you in at 8 oh, and look, I could even get you in at 6:45 if you were a party of 6." Me, "OMG, OMG, OMG, we'll take the 6:45. My mom and stepdad are travelling with us and have reservations at Capt. Jack's, but I know they will want to cancel those to go with us to Ohana." Her SO happy, "That's awesome! I'm so happy for you." Me, "Thank you thank you thank you!" Then we get down to business with the name, etc. "What's your last name?" I tell her. "Like the dish that is the same as my last name?" "Yep, that's right." Her, "I'm hungry." Me, "Well, it is getting close to dinner time. Seriously, if I were near you right now, I would bring you supper." She gives me the conf. # then asks if she can help with anything else. I tell her we made all our other ressies long ago and this was the last one we were holding out for. Her, "I am SO happy I could help you. We look forward to seeing you at the end of October and have a Magical day."

SO then I called my mom and said, "Looks like you're gonna have to cancel your Capt. Jack's ressie so you can come with us to OHANA!!!!!!!!" And we both did the happy dance over the phone.

Woohoooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

On another topic, though, why would they not seat a party of 4 if they have tables for 6 available? Seems like a table for 6 would be seen as availability for up to 6????

Yeah! We loved Ohana for dinner...one of the best we had all week! Our table for 4 was huge and round and would have easily fir 6, by the way. Come hungry~ save room for dessert and don't let them talk you into ordering food outside as you wait...you'll be sorry If you need 1 more ADR, may I suggest Whispering Canyon Cafe....sooo much fun!
