We ordered it over two weeks ago. It finally came yesterday. It's the Ironman 150T Treadmill. You should have seen DH and I getting this into the house. It's 240 lbs!!

DH set it up last night, took him about 1 1/2 hours.....he is a sweetheart! I'm glad one of us is good at reading directions.

So...........at 9:30pm last night, I stepped on it and went for ONE HOUR! Woooohoooo!!!!! I decided to go slower so I could last longer. I had it at 2.9mph speed and 2% incline. It goes from 0% incline to 10% incline. I think I might try 3% tonight because I don't really feel anything this morning. But I'm so excited that I have finally found something that I really like. I put on my "Mercy Me" CD and started walking. :)

How much of an incline do the treadmills at the gym have? What do they go up to....15%?? I think this one is a good "middle of the road" type. Let me tell ya, this is one heavy duty machine.

Anywho, just wanted to share my excitement.

:cool1: Congrats on getting that terrific treadmill and actually using it! I'm SO proud of you. :goodvibes (Mine just sits in the corner and collects dust. lol) Actually, I do intend to use it again one day, but it does not have near the motor the Ironman 150T has. I'm embarrassed to admit that I must lose some weight before I should begin using it....I'd hate to burn up the motor! :rotfl:

Edited to add: Hey! I just noticed your tag. I homeschool my kiddo too! This was our first year, and DD (3rd grade) and I LOVE IT!! This was one of the best decisions I ever made. We've been using Alpha Omega, and although it is okay, I'm probably going to switch to another curriculum (or possibly mix curricula) next year. I’ll be researching this within the next 2 months, so if you have any suggestions, I’d love to hear them!

Congratulations to you! It is nice to have if you don't use it to hang clothes on or the like. Good for you and WISHes for continued use to you.

That is awesome. Good for you.

We have two treadmills in out bedroom. His and hers. ;) DH and I get on them together at least 4 times a week. I do alternate my treadmill workouts with the WATP tapes.

I haven't messed with the incline on mine. Instead I just add speed to my workout if it isn't a challenge. Three years ago when I was at my fittest I was walking for 67 minutes from warm up to cool down and staying at 4.0-4.2 mph for at least 30 minutes.

Now that I gained nearly all (but 20 pounds) back of what I had lost then I am still walking an hour but have only gotten up to 3.2 mph.

I really hope you continue to enjoy it. I love mine.

Congrats on the TM....also wanted to say I homeschool as well...but mine are still youngin's....Kindergarten is our next big step....we've been "practicing" the routine this year..but K year I'll get a little more serious :)

I do think the gym ones go up to 10%...I've quit my gym, otherwise I would check on it for you.

Oh, thanks for the encouragement guys.

DznyDreams..................yea, I know what you mean about the motor. I, a-hem.......had to get one with a powerful motor and it will take up to 300 pounds. Oh, how I long for the day when my weight isn't always at the high range for everything. I'll get there. :moped:

And homeschooling.....I can't believe this is my 6th year. DD 6th grade, DD 3rd grade and DS preschool. He will be in K also next year. We use Abeka DVD's except for preschool/K. I think that would be too intense. Abeka's already intense enough. I used to use a lot of different curriculum but I must admit I do like the "order one thing and it's all done for you". And with 3 grades next year, I need simplicity.

DVC Jen.............that is so :cool1: . His and Her treadmills. You are my new inspiration. I've got to tell DH about that. Our bedroom is pretty big, but I don't think it would fit another one in there. :teeth: I guess we'll just have to fight over it.

Lisa loves Pooh...............Oh, Kind. is the greatest. It's still FUN, if you know what I mean. My DS next year is probably going to give me grief. He is your typical boy. Wants to run around and not work on his letters........loves numbers though. Good luck with HS. It isn't for everyone, but it was the best decision we ever made for our children.
