After all the problems trying to get ressies for late June, somebody pulled a few strings for me and put me in touch with the right people. SOOOOOO
we are going to be at FW from June 18th till the 26th..... :cool1:

NOW.... what was that I heard about drinks ?

Scott

Wohoo! I will look forward to hearing the many trip reports. I'm sure the various reports won't be in agreement as to exactly how it all "went down" at the fort...

:)

 Now I have to find someone else to beat up on. :rotfl2: Great to hear that. BTW, Stacktester is making the drinks, but he won't be there that weekend. Any one volunteer?

I think he planned it that way so he could get all the "highly placed influential friend" hoopla. See a pattern? lol.

I would come earlier but I have some jobs that week.

What happens at the Fort stays at the fort....:rotfl:

In order to cope with the heat that we arent accustomed to, I predict that many Budweiser selects will be consumed.

Would you be willing to drink Bud Select in a can? We have a case in my fridge but no-one in my house drinks beer, my DS21 works at Busch Gardens so he got it free from work and I don't know what to do with it.

Amber Bock is wonderful and can give the europeein beers a run for thier money.......God Bless the USA:cheer2:

Scott, you planned the trip a week before anyone is going to be there. You sure you weren't already "consuming" when you made these ressies? lol j/k ;)

P.S. Even so, it's alright, because I once booked a trip to Disney for New Years two years ago. Showed up, and was quickly told that I didn't have a reservation. Come to find out, I had accidentally booked it for New Years of the following year. That was an interesting weekend...lol :)

Its hard enough to get vacation time in the summer let alone a holiday weekend. Sometimes you have to take what you can get.

It's very disturbing to see the emphasis some put on alcohol consumption while camping. It would lend itself to an interesting study in psychology - does camping lead to alcohol consumption, or is it alcohol consumption that makes people think living in the woods is a good idea? Another of life's enigmas.

I just was thinking of this stuff my guys used to make when we were in Nicaraugua. They called it muddy water. Went down smooth, snuck up behind you and packed a real kick. Was made with Nicarauguan rum, prune juice and whatever else they could find. Looked like it's name implies - muddy water.

Well, campers normally "hang out" at their campsites, compared to people "hanging out" at their hotel rooms. When people relax, depending on the person, alcohol consumption tends to be involved (while on vacation). Of course that is not meant as a generalization, but more as an observation.

So probably, camping leads to alcohol consumption. Or so one would think ;)

As for the muddy water, remind me to never go to Nicaraugua :P

I will be coming to the fort on the 23rd, PM me with your info and I'll try to come by your site and drop off the unopened 12 pack I have, the other 12 pack is open, so we'll just use that one at our site when we have company.

I would post a pic of the camper but after a while the pop-ups start to look the same, although I do have a pic on the campsite of the day thread
