I got CRT!!! but....

Hey! I just read the other thread and realized that instead of waiting till 60 days out to get CRT PS's that it was 90 days now! That means I already lost a couple days on our upcoming Nov trip... and this is a MUST... so I decided instead of waiting until the morning I would call now.
I guess because of this 90 day change (from 60) not everyone knows about it and so they had ONE opening STILL left for Nov 22nd!!!! We got CRT PS's and omg..... this is going to make the entire trip, especially for my youngest. She is going to flip out that she gets to see Cinderella and be in her castle. We didn't see Cinderella at all last time... they didn't even see the parade- I saw it later when they'd already went back to the house to sleep early LOL

ANYWAY... here's the but part.... it's for 8:05am which I thought was a great time- but she mentioned that the PS would get us in early since the park doesn't open until 9am. Well, we planned on using Disney transportation the entire time so we wouldn't have to rent a minivan (all that would fit us basically) while there.... don't the resorts only run buses an hour before the parks open??? So that means we CAN'T make this PS using Disney transportation (from All Stars Sports btw)

The person that made the PS couldn't answer that for me... but does anyone here know? She said to speak to guest relations at the resort we were staying at.... but what are they going to tell us? Get a taxi or something?

I'm excited we got a PS... but now I'm wondering if we need to try for another day at a later time- I don't want to have to get other transportation to get there.
What do you think? Is it possible to use Disney buses to get there by 8:05am?

there should be a character breakfast bus that will come to the resorts. be sure to ask about it when you check in. and be sure to have your confirmation number as you will need it to get on the monorail over to MK. and then again at the gate. if all else fails, take a taxi to the TTC and then monorail or to the contemporary and walk to MK. good luck!

Thanks for the info- I didn't know there was a character breakfast bus!
I really don't want to take a taxi with all of us... that's why we're avoiding the renting of a minivan... avoiding the extra cost. Walk from contemporary? HAHA no thanks... not with these kids. We'd get there a day later probably. LOL

I think I'll call the resort tomorrow and find out for sure if they do the character buses or if we'll have to go another way- if so... I'll just try for another day at CRT and a later time so we won't have this problem.

We stayed at AS Movies in June, 2001. We had CRT priority seating for 8:00 a.m., one hour before the scheduled opening for MK. We were able to get a bus from ASMo a little after 7:00 a.m.. We arrived in plenty of time, and finished our breakfast just as the park opened at 9:00 a.m.. It was great ! Just check at the front desk of the resort for the schedule for the buses to MK that day - the buses should start running about 7:00 a.m. because of CRT.

That is really great news, KLL. I don't know why- I was just thinking they only start running the buses an hour before the park opens!

DisneyQueen- you got it... tiny short legs and don't know what the word "hurry" means. It's just not in their vocabulary of understanding I don't think. I think they think hurry means go as slow as humanly possible actually. LOL

If you want extra reassurance and a full explanation of the timing, post on the Transportation Board. "Chip & Dale Express", a WDW bus driver, will usually handle this type of question.

Yes, you can check with Tyler (Chip and Dale) on the Transportation board.

Do NOT call the resort and ask about the Character breakfast busses. They will tell you that they do not run anymore.

They are right and wrong. The name Character Breakfast was discontinued, but the busses still operate starting around 7:00.
