I Got An Upgrade!

I made our June, 2007 vacation reservations in August, 2006. We are arriving at the Caribbean Beach Resort on May 31, 2007 and will stay for 10 days. We purchased the Magic Your Way Package with Dining package and 7 day park hopper passes. I have been making payments every since I made our reservations.

This last Friday, 2/2/07, I decided to go to the Disney website and see if they had any special offers. Well.....they did. They are now offering free ticket upgrades! I entered in all of our information and our vacation came up $227.89 cheaper AND they were offering the free ticket upgrades which was another $140.00 savings!

I immediately called the Disney reservations office. I told the reservationists my reservation number and what I had found on the website. She changed my vacation package to allow for the special offer. In all, I saved $368.10!
I wouldn't have cared if it just saved $20.00. I can now take that $368.00 and buy more souveniers!

For all of you out there that's planning a May/June, 2007, go to the WDW website, click on tickets and reservations, click on special offers. You may just get a better rate even though you've already booked!

it is the spring general public codes...free ticket upgrades.

what does your ticket upgrade consist of? pluses like water parks, d.quest or hoppers or no expiration ???

and the other discount was for rooms price?

just curious as I am just beginning to plan for a trip 11 months out (begin of Jan 2008 for 2 weeks) value season and nice weather, my kind of season!) and really want to figure out what to reserve now and what to look for along the way. . .

is it to soon for me to reserve for Jan. 2008?? What do I pay now, just one nights room rate?

All the reading I do on here you would think I could figure it out on my own. .

any advice greatly appreciated.

We've been this time of year every year and this is the first time I have been offered the free ticket upgrade. The upgrade bumped our tickets from just 7 day park hoppers to the 7 day park hopper with water parks and more passes. They include the two water parks and Disney Quest. I think they also include a pass to Wide World of Sports but I didn't check 'cause that's not something we are interested in.

The quote also included the room discount. The reservationist told me it was the May Broad Code.
