I got an illuminations Cruise!!

I am very excited, I actually was able to book an illuminations cruise this am. I, almost, didn't try, because I know how hard they are to get. We were actually away camping and my son decided to wake me up at about 6:50, so I looked at the clock and figured it must have been a sign to try. And we got it!! We are going down 9/7 and today is the 90 day point for the actual date I wanted 9/10!! Now I have to decide if I want them to deck it out, etc for my sons birthday (9/8) and our anniversary (9/11)

I did it in Feb for my DBF birthday!! It was a surprise, and I knew he didn't want a big deal made about his birthday, so I told them NOT to deck it out. Well, we got there & guess what????? They had balloons & banners on it! My DBF took it well & enjoyed himself. I think he actually didn't mind everyone yelling !!!

We did not do any food, but did bring champaign along ourselves. I think kids would enjoy the attention of the banners, but I would skip the food. There is not a lot of room to eat, and you can do that somewhere else!!

Can anyone tell me what the difference between the Illuminations cruise and the birthday cruise? Also, is there another one called a Wishes cruise?
I am going to be at Disney for my birthday and would really like to go on one of these.

I think I paid $150 for the Illuminations/Birthday cruise. Basically, your on a pontoon boat & they'll put up banner & balloons, bring cake, etc. if you want to pay extra. The boat fits @12 people. It's the same price no matter how many people are on it.

No, you don't have to stay at a resort to reserve it, but call as soon as you have dates, they fill up fast!
