Well, I just got an email offering a $28 dollar savings at a value resort, no date. Even though I wasn't interested in a value, I thought I'd call anyway. When I talked to the CM, I gave her the number supplied in the email and she said that the last date the offer was available was Oct 1, which didn't help me a a bit, as my children don't get out of school until October 10. Anyway, as I was ending my call, I impromptly asked her was the special for value resorts only, and she said no, that it was good for moderates @$79, and deluxes @ $109. BUT, and here's the biggie, it is only good at Animal Kingdom or Wilderness Lodge. Now if this has been posted earlier elsewhere, please forgive me. I just had gotten the impression that the emails people were receiving were for one particular type of resort, AND that if you got one for a deluxe, it would include all deluxes. By the way, here' s a tip if you can go those dates: I was already registered on the Disney site, but today I went and simply "edited" my profile by checking a few more boxes, in the hopes that I'd get an email. I did! (just can't use it!)

You know I am really glad you posted this because I did not even know I could update my profile. Well guess what? My e-mail address was spelled wrong in there! Now hopefully I will get some good e-mail offers!

Great! Let me know if you do! I'm in the disgruntled camp with all the other AP holders on these boards. I want to go during dates that are AFTER all these great discounts that are being offered. I may just do what some other people have done-take advantage of the great price Hotel Royal Plaza is offering, and just forget waiting to see IF there will be any codes. Any official from Disney listening? Anyone with any official authority ever peruse these boards? Anyone out there CARE that we've been to WDW twice in the last eight months and spent mucha money? Would you LIKE for us to return and spend more? HELLOOOOOO...... CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW????

I updated my profile and got an e-mail today! Too bad it was for Days Inn & Howard Johnson's! It said I got it because I checked off info from sponsors!

I have never received a postcard with special resort discounts.....I have never received an e-mail with any resort discounts......I am registered with Disney.com; my family and I have had annual passports on and off (mostly on) over the past 10 years; I am lucky enough to be able to visit WDW several times a year and always stay in a deluxe resort; we have all our meals on Disney properties and dinners are always at one of the nicer resort restaraunts (Yachtsman Steakhouse, Citrico's, Narcoosee's, V & A, California Grill, etc).....we even use the Grand Floridian Spa for massages, treatments, etc......we're not unlike alot of people that frequent this website....yet we have NEVER received an e-mail or a postcard offering discounts at hotels (and we have only changed our address once in ten years and have always had the same e-mail address)......go figure....

I realize that some people are still waiting for *September* rates, but getting upset about October rates when it's still barely August seems odd. The October 1+ rates didn't come out until 7/28 last year, and it's pretty obvious the dates move around a lot. I really doubt Disney is doing this specifically to upset anyone. I suspect the travel industry is still so iffy that they don't have reliable long-range projections and have to play things a little closer than before. Think about how fast the FTP package came and went, without much warning.
