I got (almost) everything!

OK, so like most of you, I've been counting down the days until I could book our ADRs for months. Then my big day arrives, and I OVERSLEEP! I was so tired last night that I forgot to reset the alarm. I woke up at 7:08 (central time), realized what day it is, and bolted out of bed. DH thought the house was on fire or something. I had wanted to be on the computer by 6 for online. At that point, I figured I should just call and pray I hadn't already ruined our vacation.

I got almost everything I wanted, although I had to make LeCellier a late lunch rather than an early dinner. The only thing I didn't get was T-Rex in DTD. That really surprised me. The only availability for the day I wanted was 8 p.m., and since it's OOP and I was wishy-washy on that one anyway, I passed. I may try to call the restaurant directly a couple more times, but overall I'm with our ADRs.

Now I'm just waiting for Dec. hours, hoping they don't make me want to change everything again.

How did everyone else do?

We did pretty good - Overall I am happy with what we have although I may tweak here and there before all is said and done

I'm waiting for Dec. hours too and hoping and praying I don't have to change anything either! I got almost everything I wanted (except I couldn't get Mama Melrose with the Fantasmic package) on the days and times I wanted so I'm very happy about that! I LOVE the online system, it worked great. I'm glad you got what you wanted even after oversleeping! I barely slept last night because I was so excited to make my ressie's this morning. I even set two alarm clocks in case one didn't go off!

Definitely call the restaurant directly. I would bet you'll have no problem getting the exact day and time you want. I called for a party of 8 at 6pm on the day before Thanksgiving and had no trouble when the WDW system showed no availability.

Wow, sorry to hear that...did you call right at 7 this morning? They must've reserved the Fantasmic packages really quickly because I called right at 7 and was on hold for about 15 minutes and by the time I was able to ask about it Mama Melrose was already booked up but she said Hollywood and Vine was available.

We got all of our ADRs and would still like to modify Le Cellier a little bit more, but nothing is available on 11/28. However, I've moved my time 4 times already because something new opens up. We are finally at a point where we are satisfied.

11/29 - CRT 5:50 (BBB reservation right before - I finally have a child that wants to do this)

i was only able to get a late lunch at le cellier instead of dinner as well... but hey, at least we got it! i agree with the poster you told you to call t-rex and dtd directly! i hear that is a much better/easier way to get in there

I was on the phone at 7:03 and was on hold for close to 30 min. But really, I think the CM was just a bad apple. She told me there was NO fantasmic that night, and since the website wasn't giving me hours for 11/30, I thought maybe something went wrong in the system. She *said* she looked at other restaurants, but I'm not sure about that now. Oh well.

I just called again & everything is booked. Bummed about that, but maybe when Dec hours come out we can switch some things around & get one.

Really, for those of you worried about the Fantasmic package, it really isn't a necessity that time of year. We did it once, and the super early meal time wasn't worth it. We just eat a regular meal and then do Fantasmic. The crowd levels aren't that bad that time of year and we have never had trouble getting seats without the package.

That may have been before they did away with the nightly Fantasmic, now that they are only doing it 2-3 times per week it may be a very different experience, even this time of year. I hope not but I guess we will see

Only thing I couldn't get was Chef Mickeys for dinner on our arrival day Nov 28th any earlier than 8:55pm. I'll keep calling, but that surprised me.

I am also very happy with today's results. I called on Friday because we have a split stay and ended up spending a total of 55 minutes on hold because I got disconnected once. Today I must have hit the button at exactly the right moment because I had no hold time at all. Meanwhile my friend called from her house and got the BBB we needed for her daughter.
Our Dining Plan kicks in on the 28th when we switch hotels.
