I got up early this morning and went to Tuesday Morning. Got there at 6:50 am and the parking lot was pretty full. At first I thought everyone was waiting in their cars for the place to open and then I noticed no one in the cars.

I walked in and there was a long hall packed with people. My heart sank. I was misdirected twice but finally found what I was looking for - at 7:00 there were only two left. By 7:03 there were none.

Anyway - I got my Welbilt Breadmaker for $29.99 (originally $99.00). It makes a 2bl horizontal loag. Not sure if I like all the features, but this will do fine until I can get the Zojirushi I really want.

Now I have to wait till Christmas to use it - Rats!

Yummmm!

You can mail bread, you know. Just in case you'd like some of us to try it out. :teeth:

How exciting! I just got one last month from my sister - she didn't really like/use it. I've been having a lot of fun with mine. I'm glad I didn't have to wait until C'mas!

Make sure you check out the Recipes board after Christmas. I got a lot of help with recipes & sites when I first started.

I have a Welbilt! Congratulations on your purchase! I haven't had any problems with mine, and I've had it for two years. THAT being said... the little stirring-arm-thingie keeps getting baked into all my loaves, so be aware!

My dear departed aunt got me a breadmaker as the last Christmas gift I got from her.... it is a precious gift to me.

I love using it at night and waking up to the smell of freshly baked bread! There is nothing like it!

I use it alot to make dough. I like making cinnamon rolls and dinner rolls. I buy the breadmaker mixes from Kroger for a dollar and they work wonders!

Great deal! I LOVE Tuesday Morning!

You mean it's not supposed to do that?!?   Mine always does that. (It's a Red Star machine.)

and I usually only use it on Sundays to make bread for our suppers....I buy the flour in bulk and also the yeast ...and then I got some add ins from King Arthur Catalogue ......I love their products.....I make a mean pumpernickle bread from regular white bread recipe and add the pumpernickle stuff....yummy......

Piratesmate - no, it's not supposed to, and it didn't at first, but now it does every time a bake a loaf. We have to always perform surgery to excise the arm!:p

Hmm, thanks for reminding me about my breadmaker. I haven't used it in a while. I'll have to get some yeast so I can bake while I sleep.

I have used mine over the years more for pizza dough than for bread. Homemade pizza is over the top for me.

Oh what a great deal!!!! Now I am longing for my breadmaker, I miss it so much! Because the electricity in europe is different I had to leave mine in storage in the states....:( Anyway, enjoy your new purchase, there is nothing like the smell of fresh baked bread.

On this particular model, the paddle bakes into the loaf and it has a little thingy to pull it out without damaging the loaf. That is the part I think I won't like. It does automatically eject the loaf (sounds interesting).

I couldn't pass up the deal though and I may not wait until Christmas;) I could think of something else to get for myself from DH right:p
