Hey, don't give up! If I can win fireworks magic, you can too. Trust me, I generally stink at any sort of video game. I'm really good at watching them and helping give other players tips but I can't play worth anything. Actually, I was pretty good at Tetris but that's the only game I was good at.
Here's what helped me the most:
1. Got a good computer - my Mac is about 800MHz, the new computer is something like 3.4GHz. The mouse pad that came with the new computer is a big help. It's not cloth like regular pads, it's a more slippery surface. It's much easier to follow the fireworks with the mouse now. I set the mouse tracking to the fastest setting too.
2. Tried to get every firework even if it's a good or even an ok, especially in the higher levels - I still miss fireworks in level 1 and 2! One thing I do is still move the mouse to the areas even if I miss a firework just so I will get used to the patterns of movement.
3. Relaxed before playing - I tighten up my back, shoulder, arm and hand muscles during the countdown when the game is starting. Then I relax all of the muscles just as level 1 starts. I take a slow, deep breath through my nose, hold it for maybe a second then slowly exhale through my mouth. This really cut down on my spastic mouse moving, now I move the mouse quite smoothly.
4. Took my time - don't be too anxious to click on the fireworks, especially the ones that seem to hang there forever.
A month ago, I never would have dreamed I would be posting tips for playing fireworks! So don't give up, fireworks magic will be yours very soon!
