He chose Whispering Canyon Cafe. I found his choice to be interesting since he doesn't eat bbq- so the skillet is out for him-but oh well lol

Tell me everything I need to know about WCC before I eat there.

We will have our two little ones with us- ages 5 and 2

Whats the best way to get there from MK

Is it at the same resort where they have the chip and dale camp fire? Do you know what time that is held?

Thanks!!!

Oh- if it matters, we will be going in early February

They have a very good rib-eye steak there, he'll be ok :rotfl:

Take the boat from the docks that face the entrance gates to MK. The restaurant is located just off the lobby in the WL, a pretty straight walk into the main building from the boat dock there.

No, the campfire is at Fort Wilderness, which you can reach by boat from the WL (you can walk too, if dark woods don't bother you) The campfire starts around 7:30 most of the year, it's outdoor so we've not been during winter in a long while, but it may start a little earlier since it'll be dark earlier.

Thanks!!!

WCC is fun, can be very loud, but we enjoy it more often than not.

We love WCC.

I can safely say that ribeye meal is fantastic. I get it everytime and haven't been disappointed yet.

WCC is a fun place. It is in the Wilderness Lodge, as PP said you can take the boat from MK to it.
(now there are 2 docks, one goes to Wilderness Lodge, the other goes to Fort Wilderness. BE CAREFUL to take the boat to the Wilderness Lodge, it can be easily confusing if you haven't written down the exact name of where you are going)

As I was saying it is a fun place. It can get loud at dinner time, as the servers do antics with the guests.
Stuff like if you ask for a straw they will throw a pile on the table.
Ask for ketchup and anyone with a bottle of it on their table has to run it to your table. (the kids love that, as they are usually the ones to run it) ;)
Then you end up with 10 bottles until someone else needs it. LOL
The have stick horse races for the kids.
Oh if you are thirsty and ask for more than a couple refills they will bring your next pop out in a gallon jar!! (my husband loves this....goofball will drink it too)

But I will say that the staff is great here. We have experienced more care here than anywhere at WDW. For honeymoon and my birthday celebrations they went way beyond what other places did.

Have fun with it, relax and enjoy!! :)

The boat across from MK is a nice way to travel to wilderness lodge.

Take some time to explore the lobby - it is beautiful.

We've only had the skillet but the lady on the next table had the steak and it looked great.

The servers go along with you. My DD has been aged 3 and 4. She will join in the pony race and did the hokey cokey but doesn't like ketchup so didn't get into the running back and forth with that.

The milkshakes are great.

You are going to love it and so will the children. We go there every year---do not have children, but love the activity and interaction.
Last year my sister had the trout and she said it was fabulous. DH always has the skillet and loves that and I had the chicken penne pasta which was also good. It is just a fun place.

We went for breakfast and had a blast. Be aware - if you try to drink a lot of the big soda, you will not make it to Epcot without nearly peeing your pants! :rotfl:

LOL It sounds like a good choice-

Thank you so much for all the advice

NancyJvan- DH actually wants to get the trout- so its good to know that your sister liked it!

picturejumpr- we will be there from Feb 2-Feb 11!
