I saw that watch pin set that is the gift for the September Event and couldn't control myself. I was going to be in FL for that weekend to see all my best pin friends, but I was not going to pay $53 for a chance to buy pins and go to an auction.
Until I saw that Mickey Watch pin set.
I know those of you who are going are not going to want to part with that set for my measly traders so I signed up for it. Works out to be about $10 per Mickey pin, about $50 for the other pins I want form the event, and the chance to see my friends Priceless.
I booked a flight that leaves very early so that I will arrive in Orlando by around noon. I do have to change planes but it is earlier than the non-stop flight I had planned on taking which arrives in Orlando at 2:50 pm.
Booked a car,now I have to shop around for a hotel. I can't wait to see all of you. Peggie

Glad you're joining the rest of us! Surprised you held out this long with all the Mickey stuff in the catalog. One of the lines on the order form says "Product not picked up by the conclusion of the event will be refunded and placed back into inventory." So it sounds like you can order Friday stuff and still pick it up Sunday, if that helps.

Dave,
I was trying to be good, I just paid off my credit cards from the Toontown event, the 4th of July trip, and the 3 week trip in May. I was trying to not use them until the cruise. I even took them out of my wallet so they wouldn't tempt me in the store.
But now I have an excuse to buy all those MIckey pins, I will be there and when temptation hits I will just let it take over. Peggie

Which is even better than those Mickey watch pins.....

But, I do have to say that the watch pins are wwwwaaaayyyyy cool!

Can't wait to see you, Peggie! :D

Hi Peggie...

glad you will make it over... hope we can meet after all these trades we made... I was lucky witha priceline bid for the Best Western Lake Buena Vista ( right at Downtown Disney ) for 25 USD a night plus taxes on priceline...

i did bid 2.5 stars Disney vicinity 25 USD from 9/13 to 9/20 ( incl. weekend days !!! ) and was accepted after trying 23 USD first.. i think this is a great bargain for the location !

If i can help, please let me know and glad you will attending

Stephan

Have a great time. Now I have to go and check the news pages to see these pins you are talking about...:D

what does it take to convince you to fly down ???? Now with your "new" apperance you will be adored by all the female pintraders and CM and i am sure they will treat you with hundreds of rare christmas pins just for coming down to Orlando...
it is not too late....

Hello guys, although my wife has been collecting pins since our honeymoon back in 1999, she has never traded. We signed up for the September event and are very excited. I was wondering, besides the Mickey pin set (gift) is there anything else we can expect i.e. gifts or surprises?

Also, are there any in's/out's of the event we should know about? Any little secretes the public doesn’t know about?

Thanks for the help.

Scott
