buy a Ford Focus! I bought a new one back in April and while I love it, it seems to be a strong draw to elderly men!!

I have had several stop to talk to me about my car. I told me DH about it and he didn't believe me until he saw it happen today! I was walking into Culver's and an elderly gentleman, I would guess early to mid eighties stopped and wanted to know all about my car, what kind of mileage, how did it ride, all kinds of things!! I never got that kind of attention with my Camry! It has a beautiful metallic paint which they also want to know all about. I guess if my DH and I break up for some reason and I am back on the market, I will have to hang out where all the old guys are with my Focus!

Hmm. . . we could use this kind of tip on the "Old Fogies" thread. :lmao:

Well, I know how to pick up elderly women: buy a Honda Fit! I own a 2007 red Honda Fit and almost once a week an elderly lady will come up to me and tell me how much she likes my car and asks if I like it. I've had one lady tell me that if she didn't think she was going to die soon, she'd buy one!! I didn't quite know what to think.. lol.

Anyways, maybe we should park our cars together? Do some matchmaking for the elderly generation?

Crossing Ford Focus off my list of possible new cars.

Now if it attracted young hot guys in their 20's...sign me up.

It doesn't sound like either of them would have a car to go anywhere! :lmao:

Get a Hyundai Genesis Coupe, most of my friends love those cars.

Well, I have a Ford Focus and nobody pays attention to it, male or female, young or old.

Now, my 1987 Suburban? Seems like every week someone asks me if I am interested in selling it!
Same thing happened with the 1971 Suburban I traded in back in 1987. People just love old trucks.

this just made my day

I've had a focus for several years and I find it attracts lots of attention - for the same reason I bought it. It's a budget priced car with a good reputation. I've never had anyone particularly old ask me about it though.

My parents (age 82 & 84) just bought a used car (a very nice one in very good condition but it's a 2007 or 2008 I think) for the very same reason...my mother actually said "if we get a used one it will probably be dying at about the same time we are".:scared1:

I can actually say my Focus has never attracted that type of attention. :drive:

Then again I have the 2-door Hatchback which is considered a sports car when it comes to the insurance and gas mileage. I saw a man in his 70's driving the same model a few weeks ago--it just looked wierd.

I just realized that my 80 year old father has a Ford Focus. :lmao:

Anyone know what kind of car attracts guys in their late 50's who love Disney and have sdome money?

My BMW Z4 seems to be doing the trick. Unfortunately, I've already got a guy in his late 50s. I was hoping to downsize to a 30s.

You are so right. I have had my ford focus for 5 years now and old men seem to love it. They are always asking me about mileage and if it travels well. I love my focus though as it is not a gas guzzler and so far I have only had to do one major repair to it.

a PT cruiser:rotfl:

The PT cruiser was my thought even before I saw cm8's response . But could it be that maybe the Ford Focus is the new PT Cruiser . Just like the PT Cruiser several years ago was the new Miata :confused3:teeth:. Not sure what came before that.
