Thank God it was before he got to the main street. Lots of back side roads though - Im amazed at how far he got.
DH dropped DS at soccer field for supposedly his soccer makeup game. However, he never parked and got out of the car to make sure a grownup was there! Ive left DS at the field before but not until after checking to make sure coach was there.
Makeup game was in town where the original game would have been.
I was home on my dinner break and on my way to catch part of the game or he would have had to walk all the way home and nobody would have been there.
When I asked DS where his dad was he said he had to do some errands. Ahh - then DH gets mad at DS for getting his info wrong

And Im worried about DS roaming on the Magic in 6wks!

Your DH is lucky he is not my husband. He would be looking for a new place to sleep tonight. I would NEVER drop my kids off without making sure a responsible adult is there. I also leave my DS9 my cell phone in case of emergency. I have only left him at practices, as we try to go to the games and our other children are still young enough that we don't have a lot of conflicting times (we have some, but not a lot yet!). I am glad your DS is okay and that you were able to bring him home. Didn't your DH notice that there weren't any other kids there? What was going thru his mind??? Okay sorry to freak on your DH, I just worry about kids.

People shouldn't use practices as babysitters. Too much can happen to younger kids.

I guess an orange shirt is an orange shirt. DS said he thought he saw someone so ran off to be with them. (I still would have checked). And yes, we have both left him at soccer practices but Im really surprised DH left when there was "suppose" to be a game. Usually I take an earlier dinner time so would have already been back at work - guess time was on my side today.

Ditto that!!! And for him to then act like it's your sons fault, too sad. Poor kid was probably scared. :( :(

I thought he quit playing soccer.

If it was only up to me, he would have. DH is making him finish out the season. We didnt sign him back up again.

I'll just say I wouldn't have been too happy.
