I cannot understand many song lyrics. After years and years of listening to songs where I cannot make out the words, I have begun googling the lyrics. Wow.
Can't say enough about that.

Don't you feel kind of stupid when you realize that you've been wrong all along though!?! My favorite Christmas song is Tennessee Christmas by Amy Grant. For 20 years now, I wondered what it meant to bring home the tin for New Year's Eve. I thought the song had something to do with leftovers. I finally googled this year to see that it's bring home a tan for New Year's Eve. Duh!

Ha ha! There's been a couple threads on "Misheard Lyrics" and they have been hysterical to me. It actually causes me much amusement to hear ridiculous lyrics because I realize that I am mis-hearing them. The upside of being hard-of-hearing is that songs are a source of chuckles. The lyrics include the performers and hence, to my amazement, I am learning who are singing the song for the first time.

Just had a surprise, "'cause I got thirsty ears" really is the song lyric (Powder Blues).

Every since I was in high school , the song Bon Jovi- You Give Love A Bad Name.

I've had screwed up in such a major way....just for an example it says " shot though the heart and your to blame darling you give love a bad name"....I thought it was " shot to the heart and you had been blamed darnit you give love in a bad name".....hehehe what the hell was I thinking...
